It's Good Stuff !!!
So far this is pretty good stuff for general cleaning and lubrication. For light applications on the Glocks, I spray a little in a jar lid, and apply to small areas with a model paint brush. I also sprayed some in the bottle of a Needle Oiler. Works well on my Benelli Auto Shotgun.

Wonderful, versatile CLP
This is my new go-to lubricant for around the house. It has replaced WD-40, as many other reviewers have stated. It is significantly thicker than WD-40, but not in a bad way. It stays where you put it and lasts a lot longer. I have used the spray, the liquid, and the pre-coated wipes. Each has its role. I also like that it is a true CLP; it’s a much more complete and versatile product than WD-40. I have spray cans and cloths distributed around the house, workshop, tool shed, toolboxes, etc. The small 1.5 oz cans are great for the toolbox, tool bag, range bag, etc. It is also a much greener product, so it’s safer to use. The only place where I don’t use it is in certain places outdoors, such as on gate hinges, locks, latches, etc. I use white lithium grease for those applications; it’s much more weather resistant and durable. But other than that, Ballistol is a winner. Highly recommended.

Great CLP replacement! If your aerosol straws don't fit, please read below
First: I received a 3 can shipment of the aerosol Ballistol, and not a single one of the straws fit the nozzle (twisting, pressing, etc). It's the outer diameter of the straw that causes the problem. Take a little strip of 600 grit wet/dry sandpaper and pinch one end of the straw between your fingers, with the sandpaper encasing it. Twist the straw between your pinched fingers and the sandpaper about 30 times. Wipe down the straw with a wet paper towel. It will fit perfectly in the nozzle.Okay. Without repeating info from all the other reviews, Ballistol is my one-stop-shop now. It loosens rust to where it can be effectively scrubbed away, soaks into bare metal and protects it, acts as a light lubricant, and dissolves grease/sap/glue. It's food safe, skin safe, great for long term storage, and works on ... everything. Metal, leather, wood, plastic safe, etc ... amazing. Very little can claim that. You can buy the liquid, non-aerosol version and mix it 10:1 with hot water (it will emulsify, unlike most oil products) in a spray bottle and retain most of the benefits and save a lot of money.I use this on my axe, hatchet (handle and blade!), lopping shears, pocket knives, door hinges, an outdoor table wood top, and leather sheaths. Be aware if used on leather it softens it a bit, and makes it less breathable/water permeable, which may or may not be what you want. I love spraying the inside of a leather knife sheath with it pretty liberally. If you have a carbon steel machete, axe, or knife, this will give quite a bit of rust protection during storage, even out in the woods when you didn't have an opportunity to dry the tool properly or oil it by hand.Fantastic stuff.

This stuff is the best. Great for guns, great for almost anything around the house...
This is great for cleaning guns. It doesn't really remove carbon, copper, or lead fouling as well as some other products so I use this in conjunction with a few different things. This is a great thing to 'finish up with' when cleaning a firearm as it protects it well in any temperature of humidity point. I put a coating of this on everything that sits in my safe or in a gun case. I use a different product to clean my bores out. Then I put this product in the bore as the last step to protect it. I even had a rifle that has orange rust in the bore due to not cleaning up well enough after shooting corrosive ammo. This product removed the orange color after about 3 days of "soaking". It's awesome.I also use this on other things around the house. We had a door that wouldn't always close when you tried to push it shut. A shot of this on the where the latch caught the wall solved the problem permanently. My wife had a caliper that was sticking intermittently on her car. I sprayed it down completely and 2 days later, the caliper was as good as new. It works great on older locks (especially cars) that don't get used often because you always use your key fob. Basically for anything that needs to be lubricated, this works much better than WD-40. I've also used it to remove any type of sticky stain from the leather seats in my car (crayons, gum, food, etc).

Aromatic, but effective, and it's not just for guns.
I saw this first when I bought a Heckler & Koch several years ago. H&K imported this stuff as H&K approved gun cleaner. The stuff also cleans guitar frets, finger boards, and guitar strings. It also cleans and conditions leather goods, like boots, belts, holsters, guitar straps, and guitar covers, and saddles, tack, and even guitar cases. When I say guitar covers, I am referring to Lankford covers, like Waylon Jennings used, along with Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, The Everly Brothers, Buddy Holley, etc. It also works great on wood, especially stained, or raw oiled wood, like tung oil guitar necks, or gun stocks. It works great on all types of guns, and mixed with water it cleans out black powder fouling well too, in my old .36 .45, .50, .54, and .58 caliber cap & ball stuff, including the old H&R Hunstman top break cap & ball muzzle loaders, and it does not hurt the charcoal case hardening on the Uberti type guns, who's finishes are notoriously soft, and fragile. I have used this stuff on plumbing valves to get them unstuck, before I strip the handles. It even fixes up infected ingrown finger nails, believe it or not. I got an infected ingrown nail from some lead X-Ray gloves, and this stuff cured that infection in a day. Teutonic WD40, from Germany !!! I have even rejuvenated vinyl pleather with this, or Break Free. Break free attracts less dirt, but this stuff will also clean up guitar amps, and it works on dirty switches, jacks and potentiometers too. It generally does not attack the guitar's finish so I can use my injection tools to infuse it into the volume and tone controls, without taking things apart. It's good stuff, but it is not quite as good as the manufacturer says it is. Specialty products usually work better than a does it all product, and this is a does it all product.
