Never do reviews (like I should) but I got this and another for my elderly mom to brush out her beagle. She loves this brush so much she demanded I leave a good review!! it's so easy to use and clean grabs so much hair and one button push slides into trash!! her pup is also very pleased with the new brush so much so now he will climb up on the recliner to get brushed as much as he can get away with! It has become a daily event now! Easy to use, works great, Easy to clean! Easy hair removal! Does not hurt! Metal bristles are rounded for safety! Well made! Easy to hold!

This is an amazing brush! The push button raises and lowers the bristles. This makes for effortless cleaning....I mean zero effort!!!! My dog is a chewer and I really appreciate being able to retract the bristles so she can't chew them. Works well on my cats as well as my long-haired Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. I wish the handle had a rubberized grip but I'm SO happy with the rest of it that I don't care. :)

This brush is great. The brush itself doesn’t seem any different from similar brushes. Although it does work well even for my little poodle. My dogs don’t mind being brushed with it and the poodle is not a fan of brushing. . The thing that impresses me is the way it cleans the hair out. Simply push a button and the hair is off the brush and ready for the trash can.

It’s a decent brush overall, but despite being listed for short-haired dogs, I don’t think it’s the best fit. My dog has short hair with a double coat and sheds consistently, and this brush didn’t work as well as I’d hoped. It seems better suited for dogs with longer fur. I ended up giving it to my mom, whose dog has longer hair, and it worked much better for her. After she used this brush for the first time on her dog she got a ton of fur off. So it does work well for long haired dogs.

Very easy to use. Just brush a little and push the button to retract the cleaning bristles and wipe or shake it. Comes clean and ready to use again. My Border Collie loves it. When I pick it up and say "brush" he is ready.

Excellent brush especially for my long haired cats. It works well, with comfortable brush tips. Cats love it and the cleaning mechanism is wonderful.

I have short haired cats who have not taken to any grooming tool I previously purchased. My guess is the prongs were too long. They do not mind this brush and it picks up so much of that downy fur under the surface. Works exactly as described in that it is easy to clean (unlike the glove which was purchased before this).

My dog is 8 years old, Golden Retriever / Border Collie mix. Medium hair length. I used to use 'the better shedder' which is really effective, but once the blade gets dull and it's a bit rusty (from being outside), it's not as great. Plus you have to pick off the hair with your hands. This is a great brush. You brush the dog, then pop the button and the bristles retract. Then simply blow the hair away (I brush her outside). Also this seems to get deeper into the coat; i've noticed what seems like dry skin also coming off. Good purchase!
