This is an excellent woodworking knife!
This is an excellent woodworking knife! I have carved spoons for years. This knife is a pleasure in my hands 14 C 28 and steel is excellent. The grind is excellent and easy to keep sharp. Now, some of the downsides are sharp edges on the handle and no nail nick. Other than that, I love it! I wear an extra large glove and it fits my hand perfectly, even though some people say it’s a small handle! This is one of my favorite woodcutting knives! Excellent! With slightly sharp handle, the metal parts were cut and thrown in it, not much sanding to the metal parts was done at the factory ,you have to do it yourself! Butit is worth it!

One of the few folders with a true Scandi grind
Beautiful knife. Only problem was mine arrived with a nick on the blade edge. I was able to strop it out. Now it's scary sharp. Otherwise, the usual excellent craftsmanship you expect from Joker. One of the few folders with a true Scandi grind.

Joker Quality
Joker makes quality knives. For the money, you can’t beat the fit n finish. Made in Spain 🇪🇸 by authentic cutlers. I’m a collector, I know quality when I see it. Buy with confidence.

Execution is a miss for me
So i'll start with those things that aren't wrong, but don't fit me personally. The handle is small and does not have enough thickness to really work for me as an outside knife. My hands are between large and extra large, and this is a problem with most knives. Small handles cause fatigue quickly when you're doing a lot of cutting, and fatigue is how you will cut yourself. The way the blade sits in the handle when closed almost allows the very tip to be exposed, it should sit deeper in the handle, this is a design issue, not a fit and finish issue. If you squeeze on the knife while in the closed position the movement of the blade in the handle allows the edge to make contact with the steel liner, it has rolled the edge in a 1/4" section of the blade. I can sharped it out no problem, but it will happen again, because of the design. The blade steel is claimed 14c28n, which i have a ton of experience with. It is a good steel, and the rockwell hardness they advertise is appropriate for the steel. The grind is good and even, and the knife arrived decently sharp. Sharp as in will shave, but not well. The handle is nicely shaped, even if small, and finished well. In fact too well for me, it's slick, i will sand it with 220 grit wet/dry sandpaper, and that should give it a bit of grip. The green jute micarta is my favorite handle material by far. I has a lanyard hole, and comes with a black leather lanyard attached, which is nice. The lock is positive and there is no play in the lockup, it is smooth and satisfying to play with. I bought two, one for my ten year old's birthday, and another so i could play with, but it will probably go to him. I still use my rat 1 folder after more that a decade and i will probably buy another in d2 to fill the needs i hoped this one would have. Its a decent knife, but i don't think its 55 dollars worth of nice knife. This is my first joker knife and i don't really see myself buying another, but you could do worse.

Good quality
The knife opens easily even without a nail nick. Lockup is tight. Thick blade and handle ,beefy knife. I will buy another Joker knife.
