HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3301sdw Wireless All-in-One Color Laser Printer, Office Printer, Scanner, Copier, ADF, Duplex, Best-for-Office (499Q3F)

After my old inkjet finally gave up the ghost (and after spending way too much on replacement cartridges over the years), I decided to make the jump to laser. Did a bunch of research and landed on this HP Color Laserjet Pro - honestly, wish I'd made the switch sooner. Setup was pretty straightforward, though the wireless connection took a couple tries to get right. Nothing too frustrating, just had to restart my router once. The HP Smart app walked me through most of it. Once it was connected, printing from my laptop and phone has been seamless. The print quality is really impressive - colors are vibrant without being oversaturated, and text is crisp. I mainly use it for client presentations and occasional family photos, and both look great. The speed is a huge upgrade from my old printer too. What used to take forever now prints in seconds. Scanner works well for documents, though the photo scanning is just okay - not amazing but gets the job done for basic stuff. Copy function is handy for quick duplicates without having to mess with my computer. Only minor complaints: it's definitely bigger than my old printer, so make sure you have the desk space. Also runs a bit warm when printing a lot of pages, but that seems normal for laser printers. The toner cartridges aren't cheap, but they last way longer than inkjet cartridges did. Overall really happy with this purchase. It's been reliable for about 6 months now with zero paper jams or connection issues. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a dependable color laser for home office use.

This printer is worth the extra cost, print, copy scan, etc with color or black and white effortlessly, a friendly user interface, not terribly heavy and does not take up a lot of space. Not really meant for a high volume office environment but perfect for a home office. Easy setup and clear instructions, I am not sure what the toner cost is yet but the print quality is good, I have not had any jams yet. For the limited amount of printing I do this is a great choice whether hard wired, wifi, or using a USB drive input.

I set this up in my office and had problems with it right from the get go. It kept giving me the same “problems” that I needed to correct. One paper drawer was empty, another one was empty - it was such a frustrating experience I must have forgotten the others. BUT … to make the experience even more frustrating, Amazon hooked me up with a technician who spent 8 HOURS trying to get it to work. He made me watch videos showing how to load the paper. One for drawer one, another for drawer two. I watched them before I got in touch with him, but I think I watched them at least 7 times each. He called me the next day, ready to work on it again. When I asked him why he was so invested in trying to fix the printer, he blew me off. After another hour or two I told him I was ordering another printer from another place. Then he was showing me printers I didn’t want from vendors I didn’t want. He was trying to help me by controlling the screen. But when he was busy with something else, I bought another printer from the venue I decided to use. Then I very politely chewed him out, told him what was wrong with the darn thing, and to get off my computer. He did, but before that he told me to call him and he’d help me set up my new printer. I once again politely, told him that I’d been installing printers for 40 years and that my husband used to repair these machines. He did try to text me the next day, but I blocked him,

It’s a printer that works EASY for you as long as you’re connected the same WiFi network THAT YOU SET on the printer. Members of your household probably don’t care that changing their settings can lower replacement costs so cartridge replacement won’t have to cost so much. You are limited on printing on paper larger than 8x14. There really is only one tray that holds up to 8x14 paper. The other “tray” is a feed slot limited to 8x14 paper called tray 1. Not mom friendly. Mom will need to answer calls at work, or help explain why ink ran out so fast because they’re using color to print black instead of black. But it is very good, low noise, no need for a lot of surface space either which I like. If you just need to print black and white letters, this will work fine. I would take out the color cartridges unless you need them so they don’t get used, until you need them

For the most part it was easy to set up but I had to hunt for the scanner software since it didn't load with the set up. It comes with a very short power cord which I had to order a longer one so I could plug it in. It did not come with a printer cable to connect to the computer. So far it has been working well. It prints fast and the color is crisp. This was a replacement printer for my old HP color laser jet which lasted 17 years. All in all this printer is worth the money.

It works as intended. I've owned a lot of printers and scanners over the years and this was by far the easiest to setup and to use regularly. The app works with my iphone, android phone, macbook, etc. It prints well and scanning is simple
