Such a cute little machine! I don't know why I thought it was going to be bigger, it does say "portable”! But even with it's small size, it's pretty mighty. My daughter is learning to sew, and likes to do her “crafts” on the go, so this is perfect for her. It comes with so many things to Help you get started as well: 4 additional spools of thread (red, white, black and blue), special scissors, measuring tape, threader and what looks to be an extra needle (haven't opened it yet just in case, don't want to lose it). It's not very loud, and uses 4 AA batteries OR you can have it plugged in with a usb charger (cord included, but need a base, and it's not very long). As long as the project isn't too large, it works very well.

Perfect for an emergency. Would not recommend as a permanent solution.

I like the size and weight of this handheld sewing machine. The stitches are tight and consistent. Much better than I can do by hand! I still have a learning curve to get the knots in place at the end of the stitches but I am confident I'll be able to do so with the tools provided in the kit: great little snips, needle nose tweezers, two styles of needle threaders - one is probably to help with the knots LOL - 4 extra spools, an extra needle, tape measure and some safety pins to hold your fabric where you want to stitch. I'm looking forward to knocking out my mending with ease and speed!

I bought one for myself and my mom, neither worked properly. They would do a stitch, but wouldn’t sew it through completely so everything you worked hard on would come unraveled. Read instructions and tried many different things but nothing worked. End up hand stitching everything.

I bought this in hopes that it would work well before I thought about getting an actual sewing machine. Doesn't do a horrible job but not worth all the extra work it takes to use and sew up the ends by hand. Youd be better getting a cheap sewing machine
