Good oregano

I am Italian and I have used oregano all my life. This is really some bad oregano, if it even is oregano. It does not even smell like oregano. It smells like some old identified leaved. The package I received looks slightly different from the picture and arrived open. The item cannot be returned so I just threw my money in the trash. DO NOT BUY. TOTAL RIP OFF.

I was long overdue to replace my oregano and this stuff is some of the best! It definitely seems more fresh than the stuff I've picked up in the baking aisle at the grocery store and rivals the "premium" brands that I have tried. There is enough in the bag to fill my spice jar and have some left over for re-filling or to take camping this summer.

This oregano is very fragrant and is packed full of flavor, much more so than what I normally buy at the grocery store. It makes a wonderful addition to pizza. There is some salt added which is again different than what I usually buy, but it’s not overly salty and I think enhances the flavor of the oregano.The packaging is cute, but the oregano comes in a bag that is not resealable. You’ll probably want to find an empty spice jar or other container for storage once you’ve opened the bag.

When I opened the package the amora of oregano greeted me, it smelled great. On the downside, the actual pack containing the oregano was not well sealed and a small amount had spilled out. For freshness, I would suggest storing the oregano in a sealed container.

It contains salt in addition to the oregano so that is something you should be aware of so you don't add additional salt to your dish. Also, I found I needed to mix up the bag as there was some settling. Overall it smells really good and tastes fresh.
