I purchased this to travel with 4 ozempic pens. Once I put the pens into the cooler, only one gel pack fit. The second one had to come out. As a result the temperature slowly reached 7 degrees C but when I arrived at my destination 3 hours later it was up to 12 degrees. Not great as ozempic needs to be stored between 2 and 8 degrees C. There was also condensation forming all over the back of the container which to me would indicate insufficient insulation. I returns this item and will search for something of higher quality.

This box works well for me, a very frequent long distance traveler and diabetic each year making at least 8 overseas trips amd half of those take 12+ hours. Nothing in this wprld is perfect but I have no prblrm recommending this item (and will explain flaws below). I advise that you always keep the small freezer bag in your freezer so that you are always ready to travel with this bag. Yes, the freezer bags (freezing elements) are small and easily can be froozen in a tiny freezer compartment of your hotel room fridge. They will be fully frozen again in 12-15 hours. And the freezer bag (element) is sufficiently insulated from the rest of the box so that your insulin does not freeze. It also helps to keep the box open in your refrigerator when you are not using it during travel. It provides with up to 4 hours extra cooling time. Up to 5 insulin injection pens comfortably go inside. Of course you should pack pens in there that were refrigerated and chilled before they go in the box! VERY HANDY: The thermometer outside! You can instantly see the temperature inside. Does the thermoteter also indicate temp in centigrade??? In my opinion, the unit should more clearly indicate on the outside that it is certified for approved use by (specific) major airlines taking away any doubts that it IS ALLOWED and poses no risks or dangers for use during airline flights. Most airline staff and security checking staff around the world knows this anyway......... but sometimes you have to deal with inexperienced ground staff! Negative points: The box is fairly large, at least larger then I expected it to be before they arrived at my home. I bought two of them and that was a good idea in my case. But two boxes take up considerable space in hand luggage, more than some other coolers of this type. Also I find the price steeper than needed!
