This is being installed on our shipping container used for a combination storage and work shop to improve the venting. While the installation requires fabrication of adapter mounts, this GROWNEER 4 Inch Roof Vent is well made. The sheet metal seams are tight and secure. The powder coat finish is resilient to scratches during the adapter fabrication process. The vent allows for good air flow with insect screens installed from the factory with a tight weave will prevent the flying jack-wagons (as known as Mud Dauber Wasps) from sneaking in and building their nests. I would recommend these vents which are a good value and well made to others.

Well build. It fits outside of 4 inch schedule 40 pvc pipe like glove. However, the housing of the cap should be slightly larger to maximize airflow. Even if vent area is already sufficiently large, a larger housing would be beneficial for marketing purposes. Also, a wall vent variation of this cap is needed, as I could not find one on the market.

I wonder who the heck wrote the other reviews? For one, this is more along the lines of 4.5 inches, be prepared to special order a reduced or something more then tape for a 4 in duct. And the damper? There is no damper, just an anti-bug screen.. Ignoring those discrepancies, it is a really strong and well made piece.

This is sturdy but required assembly by installing 4 screws which did not fit well. The size I received is 4.5 inch and not the 4 inch advertised. I was able to make it work but not ideal.
