Well made. Easy to disassemble (gut). Cores can be swapped out quickly and inexpensively. You can add a 6th pin and get a 6 pin key for added security. The security pins and spools make for a fun pick, good feedback, nice deep false sets with the spools, and nice loud clicks when pins are set. Definitely one of my favorite locks for locksport.

I use this to secure bike lockers at work. It's a standard size shackle, and I just carry the key on my keychain. It feels more solid than the standard Masterlock combo locks.

I got this lock to practice lockpicking, a hobby of mine (I'm only OK though). This bad boy is HARD to pick. The shape of the keyway guard prevents the use of bottom of keyway tension or raking, the core is dead requiring very precise manipulation, and the serrated security pins make it super annoying. Not saying it can't be picked, a lot of people can pick these given enough time, but most folks who can open them need several minutes in ideal conditions (at a table, with the lock not attached to anything).

I'll be honest. I bought this lock exclusively to practice picking it, because the American 1100 series has a high reputation in the Locksport community. The one thing that surprises however was the lock is sold with only ONE key. Which makes.me wonder if it was a returned item.

Bought this red heart for Valentine's Day for the girl that locked up my heart almost 20 years ago . . . and she loved it! She's not so much into hearts and flowers, always preferring the practical and functional - neither of which I excel at! So . . . this lovely red lock did the trick! I'll be back to buy more!

The locks are great. Bought them for locksport. Quite hard to pick as I'm a beginner. The only thing is, I ordered two red ones, got two green ones. It even says GRN on the box, hastily taped over with a label that says R. Also, I am not sure if it is just the color or these specific ones but the locks look dirty. The housings on both of them look like they are littered with grim. The cylinder on one of them is also worn down. Will be returning them. Hopefully, next time I will get an actual new set and, hopefully, in the right color.

I like it it’s a true lockout tag out lock because they only send one key. That is thoughtful and safe.
