I adore this silk bonnet. I chose this because I’ve read 22-mommy is ideal for hair health and preventing friction. It’s definitely authentic silk and it has a little weight to it, so it seems like it will last and not wear out easily. But it’s not heavy or too hot. It feels luxurious and special. I would even gift this to someone because it’s so nice. I’m using this to protect my hair at night, even though I sleep on silk pillowcases. I haven’t had any issues with it slipping off like other reviewers mentioned. The bands are soft/stretchy and there is some light elastic in the back. It’s comfortable to wear. My shoulder length curly hair fits inside with ease. If you have extremely thick or waist length hair or braids, I’m not sure if all of it would fit inside. I would consider this to be a “normal” size, not a jumbo/xl sized bonnet. I just hope my hair still fits inside when it reaches waist length again. Because right now, it’s perfect, not too big or too small, I’ll update in 2-4 years from now if anything changes. If your hair is a bit longer than mine, I still think you’d be able to wear this. I was able to get a good deal on this and I’m so happy with my purchase. If you’re looking to upgrade from a satin bonnet, get this.

Thick fabric. Stays in place. We'll made and washes well. Ive had it now for a year. I thought it would keep my hair from frizzing but it doesn't. It does keep my rollers more in place and is very comfortable unless its a really hot night. I dont know if this is silk. It feels more manmade and is hot and doesnt really breathe like I figured it would. But who knows. What it does do is keep my hair from touching anything on long airplane flights or from getting lice or dirt on mission trips and while hosteling/backpacking. Thats actually my favorite thing.

The bonnet seems to be good quality but I could not get the bonnet to stay on my head while sleeping. I tried tying it multiple ways and not matter how it was tied, it would slide about halfway down at night. I am a somewhat active sleeper so consider that before purchasing.

I ordered this to wear to bed. I have curly untextured hair 3a type it tends to get very tangly at night if I don’t wear a wrap. I already use a satin pillow case but that didn’t seem to be doing the trick. I decided to buy this to try to help maintain my curl without having to restyle so much. This bonnet is exactly as described. It feels soft and luxurious. It fits my head well and stays on all night. I would purchase again and I recommend this product if you’re looking for a silk bonnet.

LOVE!! Always complained how some bonnets get pricey, but it’s worth it!! Definitely a difference from my regular bonnet, and I can’t stop feeling my new bonnet, so silky!! My old bonnet of course was cheaper and is made of polyester.. which resulted in me getting migraines and didn’t do much for my hair, and drove me to dig “deeper” and found out I NEEDED a silk bonnet.. I mean most, if not all, polyester is made from plastic, and with pores all over our skin, it’s best to spend that extra penny for better quality in the long run! • The strings aren’t too long to make a bow but it works!! • 100% REAL SILK (not totally sure on the band) • And expect the bonnet to be ever so slightly smaller than the actual picture, SLIGHTLY, it still fits perfect!! Don’t contemplate whether u should buy it or not - If u can, BUY IT!!

I can toss and turn in bed, and it doesn’t slip off, which has been a huge plus. If I had to note one minor downside, it might feel a little warm in the summer for those who sleep hot, but that’s a small trade-off for the protection it provides. Overall, a high-quality, elegant bonnet that’s gentle on hair and comfortable to wear. They also give you a small piece of the same fabric to probably test and the testing instructions are listed on it. Also, I would recommend washing it before use since it will be close to you face when you sleep - wash instructions are also mentioned. the picture added with my review gives the exact color of the bonnet.

I received this bonnet yesterday and wore it last night. It was extremely comfortable with its stretch band and ties. It stayed in place all night and I feel I had a more restful sleep with it on as all of my curls were protected. When I woke up my curls were perfect. I have purchased other bonnets in the past that claimed that they were silk but when I received them they were polyester satin, not the same as pure silk. I hesitated at first as I could see that the band and ties were not silk, just the bonnet part is silk, but this is what makes the bonnet so comfortable it doesn’t feel tight around your head, you hardly feel it when wearing. It’s well worth the money.
