Wow... great kayak motor! I have a Nucanoe Unlimited and I can run 5.5 mph in good conditions. I did try it out on it fast moving river and I wished I had the 300 but I won't be putting myself in that fast moving water again. Don't get me wrong it got me back up river but I had to run it at 100% to do it. I have used it around 5 times now and other than the fast water incident it has been perfect.

Bought because fishing in a kayak on salt or big lakes trolling all day gets tiring even in the pdl 120. Works awesome and trolls down to dam near zero or up to 4mph if I needed it. Runs all day on a power queen 24v 50ah amazon battery. Expensive but well worth it if your covering alot of water

After installing noticed a clicking sound from the foot ( motor). Should have returned but called Newport and was assured about warranty so continued using. Clicking got worse so contacted for warranty, what a pain. Sent pics and videos as requested and then they wanted more videos. This went on and on. Finally received a new motor ( no clicking) but the process is a huge pain and I have serious doubts about longevity. But it is fun and paired with a 50 amp hour life pro battery is more than enough. Probably should have just got a 30 amp hour and saved some weight. Good luck and tight lines
