My son who is 2, loved this toy so much! He keeps playing with it and is very excited about it. The cause and effect and the mechanics is what is interesting about this you. It offers a lot of stimulation and a lot of fine motor skill practice. The banging on the tool is exciting (for boys at least) and the spinning that comes after is satisfying. The only thing that I find a bit challenging is that the red tool needs to be held at the bottom by someone other than my son Because it seems to slip when he presses on it. The quality of the materials is very high, natural wood and plastic.

Melissa and Doug products are always so nice

My baby loves it! He is only one so he needs assistance pushing the plunger down but he giggles and dances with glee every time. I wasn’t sure how he would feel about this one, but it’s been fun watching him figure out how to use it and recreate the spinning.

It's a fun concept and the quality is classic Melissa and Doug, but I wish the spinning was better. The red one spins the longest - the other two barely spin at all. My kids had fun with it for a day or two but it mostly just sits now.

If you can be influenced to buy 1 child toy, let it be this one. It’s a fairly simple concept, but it keeps my 2 year old entertained for a while. Melissa and Doug toys are usually always a win so you can go wrong with it. This will be sure to help your child gain hand strength and coordination, as well as color recognition and matching.

Cute toy but the tops should be allowed to spin around the room…keeping them in a tray underneath makes it too hard for him to see the tops under the top .

Who doesn’t like a battling top!! This toy is fun and I haven’t seen anything like it! It’s part fine motor development, part concentration, and part cause and effect! Triple play! It takes just a minute to explain how to tell the colored top pieces are set in place properly with the X up. But the tool to press the top into the upper deck works very smoothly with just a little bit of effort- you actually can’t do it backwards. It works every time. I got this for our younger GS, but big brother is intrigued too. It definitely is not for any younger than 2, as it needs a combo of some basic skills. If the child can set the top and press it down quick enough, the lower deck has a little lip around the edge, so the tops bump and crash while momentum lasts- evidently it’s very fun to watch, if you’re 2! Fun concept, sturdy quality and value- as it is solid wood with a heavy plastic tops and tool. I love this toy! Don’t hesitate.

Meine 2 Jährige und auch die große Schwester, spielen immer wieder gerne mit den Kreiseln. Auch für Kleinkinder super, da der Mechanismus leicht verständlich ist. Würde auch wieder kaufen auch zum verschenken optimal. Robust ist es auch.

Super petit jeu de toupie, très ludique pour les enfants. Très facile à utiliser et solide dans les mains de nos petits bambins. Les garçons comme les filles ont aimé voir les toupies tourner, tourner et tourner encore. Une simple petite pression et que la fête commence.
