There simply aren't any better hose clamps. These are a high grade stainless steel that is very impervious to corrosion. Also the band is solid with ridges . . . and not the cheaper type of hose clamps that have holes. This makes these hose clamps much stronger than the 'cheap' type stainless clamps. So if you have a hose that you really want to clamp well without the risk of corrosion and breakage then get these. They cost more, but are well worth it.

These work well as I have used them on a number of boats. You do have to make sure that you don't tighten them down too much as they will strip the groves in the clamp. The plus side is that they don't rust through and break at the groves like standard marine hose clamps.

These are really nice. The rolled edges and non-perforation help to avoid cutting the hose. They clamp excellent, hopefully they won’t corrode like cheaper clamps, time will tell.

I was replacing numerous segments of fresh water hose in a boat and wanted new clamps to go with the new hose. I have used Scandvik clamps in other sizes before, so that's what I went looking for. I found these in what should be a compatible diameter. Unfortunately, nearly every connection leaked and I had to reuse my old clamps. My new clamps were size 8, 5/8" minimum. My new hose was Shields brand Series 164 Reinforced PVC 1/2" ID, 11/16" OD. So, while the clamps are nice, the minimum size was not accurate. I don't believe a smaller compatible size Scandvik clamp was available at the time I ordered.
