Sabatier Trompette 9 Piece Knife Block Set including 6 Knives, 1 Sharpener, 1 Carving Fork and 1 set of Scissors

After buying this set a few years ago for my son, I decided to get myself a set after he said they were excellent. They arrived quickly in a very nice box. They had the name Richardson Sheffield written on them and the blurb stated they had been making knives since 1800 and something so imagine my surprise when, on the bottom of the box, it said made in China. I genuinely believed I was buying a British product not something made in China. That said, they are nice knives and very sharp. The wooden block is also nice quality. I am one for buying British made products where possible to support British industry and will be more weary next time I purchase something.

Fabulous knife set and block. I did my research before choosing these, and I have to say I am absolutely delighted with them, so nice to use decent knives, so Sharpe, look great and good value, very happy all round.

Overall the knives (at first use) seem to be decent quality and very sharp. One thing I will mention is the scissors will effectively fall in half when you open them 90 degrees - this isn't mentioned on the item specifics page, so on our first set we thought they were faulty and sent them back. On the second (replacement) set it was the same - so I can conly assume this is by design (easier to clean?) - regardless you can use the scissors without issue, but they are not as safe as I would expect. We are not returning the set again because the knives are good value and very sharp.

It was my new years resolution to buy a good set of knives. I hav seen these elsewhere at a much higher price so these were really good value for money. They are really sharp, I've had to be careful a couple of times not to cut myself. I think they will be hard wearing and last for years.

Great product - you can feel the quality the minute you open the box. My partner used to be a chef and was banging on about how I got the wrong knives - so I told her to order some herself - so she did! These put the ones I got to shame - these are great standard and quality. We cook for a house of 5 everyday and have used most already. Really good price for sabatier apparently - all I know is they glide through whatever I am chopping. Totally recommend them.

This is without a doubt the sharpest knife set I have bought. Makes it easy to cut bread and meat to whatever size you require with such precision. I am so pleased with this purchase.

I have purchased this item a year ago so the knives are pretty new. The blade from one of the knifes got cracked and a piece of the blade went missing into the food that was prepared. The handles of the knives also broke and got detached.

these are great knifes, arrived safely packed and secure. good range of knifes great to use. have given given stars for durability as only just brought, but they have a 25 yr guarantee so should be good

Très bel ensemble de couteaux dont je suis très satisfaite! Les couteaux sont légers, fins et coupent très bien. Le bloc en bois est très bien fini. Vraiment un excellent achat que je ne regrette pas d'avoir effectué! Je recommande!
