Cats got over it
The item itself is very high quality. It looks nice in my living room, and the instructions were easy to follow. But I got it for my cats, and it didn't keep them out for long, even with the floor loop thing installed. They just climbed right up it and went over the top.

Love this Gate
Love this gate. My mother in law has dementia and this gate was perfect for keeping her from climbing the steps. Also great addition for the dogs.

As described, takes some doing to setup but that’s expected.
Took a bit to install but good quality. Was missing a couple screws but nothing that couldn’t be remedied by a quick hardware store trip. Good quality

Wonderful
We use this retractable door to keep a cat out of certain rooms. We have a young cat who enjoys chewing electronic cords, so to keep her out of rooms and prevent risk of damage to electronics and shocks to her, my husband found these wonderful retractable doors. Prior to using the retractable door we were having to just close off doors in the house but it left those rooms either hot in the summer or cold in the winter. Using the retractable door has alleviated that problem because you get air flow thru it but still can keep whatever child or animal you need out of a certain area. Win, win!

Easy to install, has a minimalistic look,my cats are perks and still figured out how to escape this
Quick and easy to install, very minimalist looking, the retractable screen comes out without any hesitation and easily hooks to the connectors on the opposite side........ It took my 2 cats less than three minutes to figure out how to escape under it. My one cat is it's fairly small, only a year old, probably weighs less than eight pounds, my other cat is larger, weighs around twelve pounds and squeezed under it without any problems. I still think it's a really cool concept, and I love how tal it is and the fact that it's breathable to still allow airflow through the home and how easy it is to use. I'm not gonna bother returning it, but we'll need to figure out a way how to modify it to stop them from squeezing underneath.

3 small kids, 4 giant dogs, 9 months and its held up to them.
This gate is awesome. We used it daily (9 months now) and it still works perfectly. The cat has figured out how to shimmy under it but she's really small and kind of a Houdini so I expected her to find a way. The kids have tried to follow her and can't get more than a hand under it. Between the 3 kids under 5 and 4 giant dogs (Great Dane so yes giant) nothing holds up to long in our house. This still looks and works like new!

Not ideal for cat household. Hard to install.
Hard to align the 3 hooks to the base upon initial set up. This would probably work for dog, but my cats easily push on it and get through since its retractable. Waste of time building and screwing into home frame. Now it's just collecting dust on the wall.
