ThIS HP card game was a huge hit with my 8 yo granddaughter. She has played them many times just in the last few days. The game takes a little visit of figuring out before playing - you cannot just pick it up w/o reading the rules. This game does involve strategy as well as “luck of the draw.” I highly recommend it for young and older kids. Myv8yo GD played it with her 15 yo sister who also enjoyed it. I would buy again. Very reasonable price.

Monopoly Deal is one of my favorite card games, and this Harry Potter version makes it even more fun. It’s easy to learn, quick to play, and small enough to take anywhere. We love bringing it along for casual outings like beer tasting, picnics with the kids, or pulling it out on a rainy day when we want something entertaining but not complicated. The Harry Potter theme really amps it up. The character cards with special abilities introduce a new layer of strategy, and the spell cards serve as a fun novelty that keeps each game feeling unique. I really enjoy this version and can see us playing it over and over again. I would recommend trying the original Monopoly Deal first so you understand the basic gameplay, then the Harry Potter version feels like a fun upgrade that you can truly appreciate.

I bought this because my family really loves the regular Monopoly Deal game. It was very easy to learn the new rules associated with this version. The design of the pictures on the cards is great. The set is very high quality and easy to travel with. Our family's only complaint is that we didn't like the new rules associated with the characters in the game. They appear to not have been tested and balanced very well and it makes the game unfun. For the price it's fine, but if you are a very big Monopoly deal family like we are, you may not enjoy the changes that this game makes to the core rules.

This game is really fun and quick to learn. We love Monopoly Deal and when we saw that there was a Harry Potter edition, we just had to get it for the HP fan in the house! The size of the box is the equivalent of two standard cards put side by side, that's how they are put in the package. We play with our youngish kids (ages between 5 and 10) and they all love it. The 5 year old needs a little guidance to win, but can definitely play on his own. The game goes pretty quickly, playing 4 or 5 rounds is our typical.

Just as good, if not better than the original Monopoly Deal. The character are fun but a couple of them feel too overpowered. It can easily be played without the character cards for more balance, with the character effect blocking card simply just being used as points (money). This version does not have house and hotel cards, which I felt were mostly useless a lot of the time in the original game. They are replaced with other useful cards/effects instead like drawing from the discard pile or taking cards from a person hand etc.

Super fun alternative to Monopoly Deal! Fun gift to give to others and price is not too bad!
