This book isn’t just a story—it’s an emotional experience that will have you laughing, crying, and gasping for breath as you immerse yourself in the lives of characters so vividly crafted, they feel like family by the end. From the very first page, Hart pulls you into a world of raw emotion, breathtaking twists, and heart-pounding suspense. The supporting characters are no less remarkable. Each one feels like a fully realized person, complete with quirks, flaws, and moments of brilliance. Some will make you laugh out loud with their sharp wit and banter, while others will tug at your heartstrings with their quiet courage and hidden pain. It’s impossible not to fall in love with them, flaws and all. There are scenes that will break your heart, but there’s also an underlying thread of hope and resilience that keeps you going. The relationships—whether romantic, platonic, or familial—are written with such authenticity that you feel every connection, every betrayal, and every moment of redemption as if it were your own. A Plot That Keeps You Hooked The pacing of Quicksilver is nothing short of perfection. The twists and turns come at just the right moments, keeping you on the edge of your seat without ever feeling overwhelming. Hart has a talent for blending high-stakes action with quieter, character-driven moments, creating a narrative that is as thrilling as it is deeply personal. The central conflict is layered and compelling, with just enough mystery to keep you guessing without leaving you frustrated. Each revelation feels earned, and by the time the final page comes, you’ll be desperate for more. Thankfully, this is only the beginning of the journey, and the promise of a second book is a tantalizing prospect. The Writing That Draws You In Callie Hart’s prose is another highlight of Quicksilver. Her writing is evocative without being overly flowery, and she has a gift for crafting vivid imagery and authentic dialogue. The world she creates feels alive, and her ability to capture the nuances of human emotion is truly remarkable. Final Thoughts Quicksilver is more than just a book—it’s an experience that will stay with you long after you’ve turned the final page. It’s a story of love, loss, resilience, and the beauty of human connection, told through characters who feel like old friends. It’s a book that will make you laugh, cry, and ache in the best possible way. If you’re looking for a story that will grip you from start to finish and leave you eagerly awaiting the next installment, Quicksilver is it. Callie Hart has delivered a masterpiece, and I, for one, cannot wait to see where she takes us in book two. This isn’t just a book you read—it’s a book you live. Prepare to fall in love, and don’t say I didn’t warn you. Review: Gripping read! - Quicksilver was such a gripping read! I genuinely could not put it down. The writing style flows so smoothly and the world-building feels effortless. Saeris completely stole my heart. She’s sharp, stubborn, witty, and downright unstoppable. And Kingfisher? WHEW. The male is a grumpy, territorial menace in the best way possible. Possessive, loyal, self-sacrificing… basically a walking checklist of every trait I love in an MMC. The side characters added so much charm (Carrion made me laugh out loud more than once), though I didn’t totally understand the extreme obsession everyone seems to have with him… even if he did deliver a jaw-dropping surprise. My only real gripe: the middle dragged a bit, and then the last 50 pages dumped twist after twist after twist, only to stop just short of a full cliffhanger. It felt like the pacing could’ve been balanced better. Still, the heart, the humor, the characters, and the chemistry completely carried this story. A very solid, fun 4-star read that left me desperate for the next one.

my favorite book of 2025
Quicksilver by Callie Hart was my favorite book of 2025. I read this on my Kindle while listening to the audiobook at the same time, and it made the story incredibly immersive. From the characters to the pacing, everything kept me hooked. The FMC is strong and compelling, the MMC is unforgettable, and the side characters and world-building add so much depth. The tension and spice are well-balanced, and the story never dragged for me. I loved everything about this book and wouldn’t change a thing. If you enjoy immersive storytelling, strong characters, and a book that’s hard to put down, this one is absolutely worth picking up.

Good characters & twists!
“I hated him, I did. But you couldn’t hate something without caring about it just a little, too.” 🌶️🌶️.5 This was a fun time!! Saeris hardly annoyed me which is saying a lot for a Romantasy FMC, yes she wanted to go home at first, but it wasn’t petulant, but altruistic. My girl SUFFERED and still kept her head high. Kingfisher was such a tragically hardened shadow daddy, LOVED HIM!! He sold his soul and sanity for those he loved to protect them and has paid heavily for it. My biggest qualm is with single person pov, things can feel rushed or instant. You don’t know how the other characters have been feeling so this almost felt like a switch flipped and bam, lovers! The side characters were top notch!! Carrion and Renfis were deliciously entertaining and helped keep the serious moments not too drab. The plot twists were GOOD, I did not expect some of them and in true Romantasy fashion, that last 10% threw me off!!! Diving into book 2 asap🪙

Thoroughly enjoyed this book.
I tend to end up disliking books that get as much hype as this one. But this books deserved every positive review I read. I love Callie Hart's writing style. Her world building is top tier and the plot and story line are phenomenal. The characters, the dialogue...i have zero complaints. I couldn't wait to start the next book.

BRB Crying
I finished the Quicksilver audiobook and WOW. This book made me laugh out loud, tear up, fully gasp, and yes, blush. Like pause the audio and stare at the wall blush.🥵🥵 It was funny and sharp and emotional in a way that sneaks up on you, and I found myself way more invested than I expected. I kept telling myself just one more chapter and suddenly three hours were gone. My earbuds were in every chance I got. There were lines that made me stop what I was doing just to sit with them for a second and make sure nobody could hear my earbuds, because wow. Like, "I’m about to introduce you to all seven gods. When you meet them, don’t forget to tell them I’m the one you worship on your knees." And then others that felt almost reverent🥹, "My soul was on fire, and I didn’t care if I burned for all eternity. So long as I was burning with him, then so be it." That combination of confidence, danger, and genuine depth is what really sold me. The characters felt real, the tension stayed high, and the emotional moments actually landed. Five stars without hesitation. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Callie Hart - the genius you are 👨🍳💋 #BookReview #Quicksilver #CallieHart #firstreadoftheyear
