A gripping read
A gripping thriller that plunges readers into every parent’s worst nightmare. When Sive, an Irish mother visiting London with her family is separated from her two young daughters, her world shatters. The train doors close, leaving her stranded as her children vanish. Though her toddler Bea reappears at the next stop, six year old Faye is nowhere to be found. What follows is a harrowing race against time, interlaced with flashbacks to a university friends’ reunion that unravels a web of buried secrets. The author masterfully weaves dual timelines, shifting between the frantic search for Faye and the simmering tensions among the group of old acquaintances where lies, infidelity and a tragic past collide. The narrative’s relentless tension and layered mysteries, from a decades-old house fire to blackmail schemes while the chilling question lingers- How could a child disappear in a city of millions without a single witness? Andrea Mara’s strength lies in her ability to craft ordinary characters thrust into extraordinary chaos. Sive emerges as a relatable anchor, her desperation palpable as she navigates guilt and suspicion while her husband Aaron’s polished facade cracks under the weight of hidden truths. The supporting cast serves to amplify the story’s central theme i.e. the fragility of trust. The final act delivers a satisfying payoff, tying together threads of deception with a jaw dropping revelation. The pacing oscillates deftly between slow-burn character dynamics and heart pounding urgency, culminating in a climax that challenges perceptions of guilt and innocence. ‘No One Saw a Thing’ is more than a missing-child thriller, it’s a sharp exploration of how lies fester and loyalties fracture. The novel is a haunting reminder that sometimes the most terrifying threats are the ones we never see coming.

officially an Andrea Mara convert, and I can’t wait to beat her backlist.
2025 is kind of shaping up to be my year of diving deep into mystery authors with a solid backlist, and Andrea Mara is another addition to the elite list that I’ll be sticking with. After binging Lisa Jewell and Freida McFadden's mysteries, I needed someone who could match their addictive pace and layered storytelling—and Andrea delivered the TEA. No one saw what really happened. A mother stands on a crowded London tube platform. In a moment of distraction, her two young daughters run ahead and board the train. Before she can follow, the doors close and the train pulls away, leaving her behind. She tells herself it’s fine—she’ll catch up at the next station. But when she arrives, only one child is there. The other has vanished. No One Saw A Thing splits timelines and perspectives, but unlike so many multi-POV thrillers that are difficult to keep up with it doesn't lose steam as the story unravels through the pages. Every character matters. Every thread leads somewhere as we are constantly shifting suspicion, and by the time you think you’ve got it figured out, she throws another curveball. The pacing is swift and the tension bristles throughout the dual timelines as the plot digs deeper into unsettling territory, revealing buried secrets and shady motives and the question that nags you from beginning to end—who can you really trust? I’m officially an Andrea Mara convert, and I can’t wait to beat her backlist.

Fast paced and engaging!
🌟🌟🌟✨️/5 This book officially marks the start of my thriller era '25! 👀🙈😤 On a crowded tube platform in London, Sive is planning to catch the tube with her two daughters but they accidentally get on the train without her. Panicked, she goes to the authorities and waits at the next station to get to them. Except, she only finds her younger daughter waiting for her. No one knows where her older daughter went, no one saw a thing really. I love reading thrillers without knowing a single thing about them. It just makes the experience more....thrilling. I went into this book completely blind, very fascinated by the title and mostly influenced by the little snippets of reviews I saw on goodreads. This was my first time reading an Andrea Mara and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed her writing style. The book was such a page turner with effortless writing. We got multiple timelines dispersed throughout the book and each time I thought I had it figured out, a new twist would pop up! I am very proud to say that I did figure out half of the mystery quite early on but the ending did took me completely by surprise! I love a thriller that has a vast cast of characters and this was just the same. The execution of the whole mystery behind the missing daughter of Sive and everything that led up to that moment was very well executed. It was a complete page turner and I look forward to reading more Andrea Mara books!💖

A well deserved 5 star. What an incredible book. It hooked me right from the very beginning and didn't let go. Its a well written book leaving you on the edge at almost every chapter. This book explores how far people are willing to go to keep their skeletons in the their closet. Everyone lies but how far do you go to protect it.
