Beartooth Brown comb raising kit - neoprene gun rifle stock guard with inserts

Great idea, but not worth £25 as the materials feel rather cheap - stitching on mine came loose. Looks a bit tatty when it's on the gun depending on the shape of your stock it might not be a good fit, but if you use thick rubber or velcro bands either end (in the photo I used my own, these did NOT come with the product), these help to hold down the loose material, these ought to be supplied but are not. I'd have written a more favourable review if it was £8, but for £25 I expect more for my money. If you're buying this I'd recommend searching Amazon for rubber or velcro straps as well.

Don't know why I hesitated when buying this item. It does seem a tad expensive for what it is, but it's saving grace is that it works an absolute treat. I used it to raise the comb on my Remington Wingmaster which I had previously added a slip on butt pad to increase length of pull. This product has made the whole thing look better by covering the new pad.It comes with many different sized pads which can be placed together for a finely tuned fit. The pads are not tacky but will not slip apart once held under the neoprene cover. It does take a while to get it adjusted properly but the end result is great, certainly cheaper than getting your stock altered.Gun fit problem sorted for less than £30 !!! It's a no brainer people !!!!!!

Why this doesn’t just come with Velcro to fasten I’ll never know. What a chew on. I’ve fitted scopes and sighted them in faster than trying to get this on the stock. The foam should be curved to sit over the stock for easy fitting.

Have given this item 3 stars, but only because it will not fit a weirauch hw100 thumb hole stockItem seems to be well made and if it fits your stock it will probably be absolutely fine.Don't forget to look at the instructions first otherwise you will never get it on your stock

Seems to work but hard to put on

As described, delivered quickly. The product it’s self works well, the rubber inside prevents any movement when mounting the gun.

Not impressed by this product. Sponges provided to increase comb are impossible to fit within the sleeve. The latter needs to be larger and held onto stock by Velcro or some other fastening.

Exactly what I expected, quick delivery and a great replacement for my old stretched one.
