One of the most striking features of the Level Lock+ is its discreet and seamless profile. Unlike other smart locks, the Level Lock+ is installed within the door, preserving the original look of your home's entryway. Installation is very straightforward. With minimal tools and expertise required, users can easily retrofit their doors with this intelligent lock, making it an ideal choice for both homeowners wanting piece of mind and convince from the smart features. Functionality-wise, the Level Lock+ includes a lot of the features you would expect. The app allows you to conveniently control access to their homes remotely, monitor lock status, and receive real-time notifications. It also is compatible with leading smart home ecosystems. Setting up with my existing Google Home was seamless. In terms of performance, the Level Lock+ has been reliable and responsive. The lock operates smoothly and quietly. The one down side is the battery performance, it uses a CR2 battery, and despite claims of a year, expect a few months at best with heavy usage. The Level Lock is a brilliant concept if your absolute priority is an invisible smart lock. The design is top-notch. However, the battery concerns and the concerning hollow bolt design (where the battery lives!) are things I would like to see In never versions. But even with those concerns the benefits the core functionality of smart lock and the ability to retrofit existing doors.

Just getting used to it but the installation of the hardware and the apps are more straightforward than I imagined. I enjoy knowing I can look on my phone from anywhere and make sure my door is locked. I appreciate the fobs, the keys, and the options for phone or watch to unlock the door

First off, the lock itself works as expected, but the app and the Level Connect have issues. The calibration in the app only works if the bolt can extend an inch into the borehole. In my case the borehole .7 inches because of a metal plate inside the door frame, so the app thinks that the lock is jammed. And when it comes to Level Connect it only works if you have a dedicated 2.4 GHz network, in a multi channel one it drops the IP address within 12 hours and you have to unplug it for 10 seconds before plugging it back in and then it works again for another couple of hours. If I knew that I would probably have gone with Matter one instead. I have 10+ devices that connects to my mesh network that uses the 2.4 GHz channel without any issues.

I really like the lock and how it integrates with the look of the house, but Android users have seriously been ignored. Very basic functionality, nowhere near the iPhone integration. One really bad thing for us is we have an older maid and the actual FOBs can't be scheduled, only a digital key can have a schedule. Not great for the technologically impaired. Opening the lock isn't bad, but the app can take forever while I'm standing there holding my groceries and touch to lock/unlock can be iffy at best. Living in a city where I have to find parking then walk to my house, the touch to unlock tends to time out. All in all, I like the lovk but I really hope they start to consider the user experience, especially for Android users.
