ASICS Mens Gel-Kayano 31

One of the best purchases I've ever made! The shoes is as marketed. The proper support, comfort and it nicely cushions the landing making the impact less hectic on the body. It's very light weight and the 8W was just perfect for me as someone with a wider foot.

Great fitness shoe, not just for running. Fit is true to size, with a slightly wider toe box than Hoka and Adidas. Definitely more comfortable for me since I have a slightly wider foot. The amount of cushioning is also just right. I tried the New Balance 1080s and Hoka Cliftons and they had too much cushioning which made them less stable for runs and workouts. The Kayano is a stability running shoe so it makes sense. I purchased last year's model (Kayano 31) and saved $40 over this year's model.

Best running shoe I’ve ever bought. The stupid amount of cushion, not only helps my flat feet, but helps quite a bit with my knees. They have lasted a year, which is pretty nuts when you take into account that it’s a running shoe, so short term use. Great traction and functionality, and fit. The arch support on this is pretty good. After a year of hard use, running an hour every day these things lasted like a champ, did not expect that. R inning shoes aren’t exactly known for durability. Wil buy these again and again.

Take good care of your feet, Pete! Supportive and comfortable. Lotsa cushion. I measure 12 on the Brannock Device, and went w/ 12.5 after trying on a 12. ASICS recommends .5 size up on running shoes. Nice fit. I have flat feet and Achillles tendinitis, and these are the best shoes I’ve worn

I’ve worn many running shoes over the years, but the ASICS Gel-Kayano 31 2E stands out as the best yet. The wider 2E fit is a game-changer—finally, a shoe that gives enough room without feeling sloppy. The cushioning is phenomenal; it absorbs impact effortlessly while still providing excellent stability for longer runs. The design in Steel Grey/Piedmont Grey looks sharp and modern, versatile enough for both running and casual wear. Breathability is excellent, and after several miles, my feet still feel fresh with no hotspots or discomfort. This shoe balances support, comfort, and style—this is it. I’d recommend the Gel-Kayano 31 to any serious runner or anyone who spends long hours on their feet. The arch support is great especially if you use custom orthotics. Absolutely worth the investment!

After contacting the seller, they provided a full refund. Based on the great customer service response, I upgraded my rating to 4 star. They backed their product and provided the response you expect from a great company. I will purchase from this seller again. I've purchased ASICS Gel-Kayano Running Shoes before this. They were durable and held up very well for up to a couple of years of regular use. The tread on this pair has started to detach after just a few times wearing them. ASIC's quality has decreased in comparison to my first pair. For the price, I expected much higher quality. I don't recommend these and will not purchase ASICs again. I will be returning these for a replacement.

These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever had. I used to run years ago, but had stopped because life got in the way. I decided I needed to get back to exercising, so I decided to at least start walking again. I live in a very hilly area, and during my first walk down my first hill, I was reminded of the shin splint pain I felt all those years ago when running. I did not even know if I could even make it back home, but I did. I immediately started researching best shoes for walking and dealing with shin splints; I found these as highly recommended, so I got same day delivery; I was surprised by how light and comfortable they were. The next day I set out to try my walk again. I could not believe the difference in these shoes and my regular shoes. I walked five miles up and down hills without any shin pain whatsoever; after some time I even began running again. I have now been walking, running, or bicycling every day for the past 7 months, and I have had no shin or foot pain to speak of. The shoes have held up very well, but if they ever need replacing, I am definitely purchasing these again.

As an ASICS Gel Kayano 29 and 30 wearer, I was happy to try the newer 31s. The 29s and 30s were the most comfortable shoes I had worn, and they did wonders for my overpronation. They were supportive and were well made, and I liked the style. I was initially happy with the 31s as well, they were initially comfortable, and I was working on a daily step goal I had for the year. Unfortunately I began to have soreness in my Achilles on both feet. Once I switched back to the older 30s that I still had, the soreness went away. Sadly something about the new design just aggravates my Achilles and now I am scared to try the 32s as well. I have yet to find a new shoe that I am happy with. Rating it as 3 stars because they are nice shoes, but want to warn you that something in the design changed enough that it may cause you issues like it did for me.

The Gel-Kayano 31 feels more balanced than the previous version. The midsole gives softer landings without losing support. Fit is true to size with enough room in the toe box. Great for long runs or everyday training. The upper breathes well and feels premium. A strong all-round shoe for runners who want comfort and stability.
