The last Chapin I bought literally exploded in my face while I pumped up the prime. The whole tube blew out and sprayed me with chemicals. I am too old and too girly to keep buying new sprayers because they break, clog, cumbersome, no pressure, exploding valve, etc. This Petratools model is so superior. My unsolicited genuine opinion? No scrimping on quality, great price for the superb value. Excellent use of textiles and designed with the weeds-spraying end user in mind. The prime last a long time compared to the other brands. The parts are a stronger, thicker plastic. The tank is ready to fill, no need to insert the tube, just twist on a couple things. The one cap that twists allows the spray to go from a nice stream (to point it through tall weeds to get to the ground) to a wide fan (for great ground coverage, low grass & weeds) I can adjust it while in use so no stopping to switch. Really a pleasure to use it, considering how much I hate having to keep spraying twice a year!. I did not really need to read all the assembly and operating directions, however, they are English only, very clear, well done. There is nothing Petratools missed when thinking of how to make the best user-satisfying sprayer.

had issues with another name brand 2 gallon sprayer where a critical part failed. I kept looking for alternatives and the Petratools sprayer popped up on sale. So far I must say it appears better overall in terms of design and performance. Time will tell but I sprayed 4 gallons last night and it outperformed my other failed sprayer in terms as it seems to hold pressure well and spray further. Easy to pump. Pressure relieve valve is fast. Out of the box the hose was kinked at the gun but this did not become an issue. I do wish they would use a braided hose i.e. reinforced clear etc but this is not a super expensive sprayer given the performance it delivers. Pleasantly surprised. Likely will order another.

Great sprayer, great customer service. 2-Gallon Sprayer works very well. My sprayer broke off. I called customer service and Christina from customer service reach out to me right away which was great. She was polite and professional. She was apologetic, and after confirming my Amazon purchase, agreed to send a replacement under the warranty. I highly recommend this product.

I could not give 5 stars because there is a very weak design in the sprayer wand. The longer straight part of the want connects to the handle/trigger via a screw-on connector that has 1 O-ring. The problem is that that connection is a very weak point in an otherwise good sprayer. As I tried to connect the want to the handle there is NO indication on the want nor instructions as to hold far to push the wand into the handle in order to make a proper connection. As I studied that connection I realized that as you connect the want to the handle side you have to PUSH the two parts together until they connect. When the two parts connect you will feel them touching. That is when you can tighten the compression connector. HINT: You MUST make sure that the little O-ring in on the wand and inside the screw on connector. If that O-ring falls out there will be a leak at that connection. There are no instructions to tell the customer the things I just wrote. That is a MAJOR oversight IMO. Once I figured out how to make the best connection, I then started to tighten the screw on compression nut. I am experienced with mechanical things and I made sure to NOT overtighten the nut. However, still it broke/cracked along the side. That is NOT a good design, and the nut is thus cheaply made, as it should be able to handle much more torque than what I gave it. Luckily, the crack has not resulted in a lead, for now. The want needs a redesign so that there are TWO rubber O-rings, once that sits on the handle side, and one for the wand side. To hold those O-rings in place, there needs to be a raised bump/stay on, at least. the wand side so that the user knows how far to push the handle and wand together without the O-ring falling off, as happened to me about 3 times as I figured out how to connect the wand. Other than that poor design, and cracked compression connector, the sprayer works well. That funnel open is very nice as it gives the user a lot of catch area when filling. The pump itself fits nice and securely into the funnel. The pump works well. I filled to maximum two gallons, and gave it the maximum 30 pumps. The spray pressure is good as I got a very nice vertical distance to reach the tops of my fruit trees. I would say it easily reached 20 feet. For those who do not know, you HAVE TO keep pumping up the pressure as you use the sprayer. As the pressurized air is used to push out the liquid the overall internal pressure in the tank drops, as that is how these things work. I've read some reviews complaining that they have to keep pumping the pressure into the sprayer, because, "It would not hold pressure.". Yes, that is how a pressurized sprayer works. The air the user compresses comes out with the liquid, as the pressurized air comes out. So, you have to pump the sprayer again and again and again, as the pressure inside the sprayer drops. The "adjustable" spray tip does work, as you can adjust the spray from a stream to a fine mist. However, don't expect this adjustment to work so easily. There VERY little adjustment on that tip where it goes from stream to spray, as it happens in micro movement of the "adjustable" tip. Do not think that a couple of turns will adjust the spray in increments from stream to spray. NO. Those increments happens in VERY little adjustment, very quickly, such that you will wonder why someone did not make a better workable design. Overall, yes, I adjusted to the adjuster, but it is not a good design. The only other complaint, and it's minor, is that shoulder strap. It is worthless IMO, because a full 2 gallons has some weight, and that strap is much too narrow to make that weight comfortable on your shoulder. I found it easier to hold the tank by the pump's handle as I moved around. Also, it does not good to try and keep this sprayer on your shoulder as you have to pump up the pressure quite regularly, and you can't do that effectively when the sprayer is on your shoulder, as you have nothing to pump against. The best way to pump the pressure into the sprayer is to put the sprayer on the ground and then pump. I will likely send a message to the company and ask them to send me a new wand connector nut to replace the cracked one. Overall, this sprayer worked well. Still, it lacks proper and needed instructions. And, the wand to handle connection is worse than basic. Minor design change would result in a much better connector and connection.

Received the garden sprayer, but the pump handle leaked. Reached out to customer support on a Sunday and they responded! Nathan made sure that anyone would be sent out immediately. I received a new one three days later and everything works perfect. Awesome support and would definitely recommend this company as they stand behind their product.
