A real treat
The Marshal Monitor 3 earphones are expensive (for me). I bought them full price as a bit of a treat to myself and they have turned out exactly that. Everything about them seems quality. They come in a lovely hard case lined in the kind of red cloth you would expect to find in your guitar case. The design of the headphones reminds you of the texture of an amp and when you turn them on (and off) they play a nice little guitar riff. Marshall know how to play to their audience. Sound quality is great and the active noise cancelling control works really well. They are soft on the ears and the battery lasts ages without needing to recharge. Control wise there is a bronze button, which turns them on and off and pauses and starts music with and long or short press, it's also directional so pushing it up or down adjusts volume and left and right changes the track. There is a separate anc button and a further button you can customise in the app. For me they provide a great listening experience in audio quality, functionality and fun so I am very happy to recommend them

Premium sound and feel
Bought these as a gift. Got to try them out myself. The audio quality out of the box was fantastic. They also look and feel super premium. The case is also very cool and compact. Battery life is also phenomenal.

It kisses your ears so gracefully.
I bought the Sony WH-1000XM6 first because it was black friday, from £399 to £349. Not great but looked like a good deal. Received a cheaply made, "green" cardboard box, with a low quality, hardcase with a magnetic clasp as if they're trying to save money on a zip. Put the headset on and man, how disappointing. Even with multiple adjustments from the internet via the equaliser..it just didn't hit.. awful sound, awful "premium" experience for a headset that costs 400!!!! The ANC was AMAZING, but it's heavily reliant on a full coverage and seal of the ear. All in all, THESE Marshal monitors...wow. Came in a beautiful black hard box. Within that, a beautiful sort of ring box, covered in what looks and feels like leather, EVEN IF IT'S FAUX, it's still a very nice texture, then you open it via the high quality black glossy zip and then it's revealed to you, the way it's gracefully sitting there like a curled up puppy. The textures are nice, the feel is nice and then you use your thumb to test the cushion and you're taken aback by how unbelievably soft it is compared to the rigid sony. And then you wrap it around your head and once it kisses your ears, you're gone, in a whole different world and experiencing it completely isolated. The sound, simply phenomenal. The app? beautiful. I don't know what to say, they just blow the sony's out of the water and they're almost HALF the price!!!

The best I have tried in over 45 years.
Top quality headphones that have great sound quality and are the most comfortable I have tried in over 45 years of using headphones.

Above average for daily use it is good, not professional use
Good material quality and design, noise cancelling is fair I have had better experience with several in-ear and lower end over ear headphones. Battery life is certainly a winner. Even though cushions are comfortable, wearing these for more than an hour in 22C causes redness and sweating, at least for me it does. Buttons and connection sockets are placed ergonomically. General sound quality is above average but below studio quality.

Great headphones
These are truly excellent. Heard detail on tracks I thought I knew never heard before. Acoustic range is amazing. Sound elimination system really works and the adjustability is really useful when you also need to listen for announcements. The app is surprisingly helpful too. Case excellent, I guess it’s what you expect at the price but sometimes don’t get.

Fantastic Sound
Noise cancelling falls well short of Sony but it's acceptable. For me the sound quality in playback beats Sony. I've had no issues with calls or set up.

So today I received my Christmas present. And it is only been a few hours, but I love it. The sound, the comfort on my head, the physical buttons to control it, the design and how it folds up to a little nugget I find it amazing. The noise cancelling is good enough which I tested while vacuuming the room. Something I have a noise cancelling headphone for. I had 2 other brands before. But I think with this one I found a new love. It responds fast on turning it on or off, adjusting it and connecting it. Where it is my computer or my phone. The only thing I haven't tested it on yet is as a headset in conversations. The app I downloaded on my phone is straight forward and comes with features like battery saving, adjusting noise cancelling, and very practical equaliser presets. Not something like rock or pop, but enhance treble, or bass, or suppress mid tones. Something you can expect from Marshall, being a brand in the music industry with a professional reputation. Price quality ratio is a 10/10 for me. If you love music and like a no nonsense functional product which does what is being promised, look no further, this is it! ps: It has a no wear function, meaning it has some kind of sensor when you take it off, so it pauses the music, isn't that amazing?!

Always been a fan of Marshall products but the build quality on the pair I received was disappointing. I ended up returning them due to the creaking plastic noise on the right earcup. This was never an issue with the previous generation.
