I was recently diagnosed with pre-diabetes and wanted something to keep a check on my blood glucose! This meter is very easy to use, no setting codes to match the strips like my last meter, which I dropped and needed a new meter.The adjustable blood sample needle has fine adjustments, and keeping it on setting one, I'm able to get just enough blood to take a sample, and the puncture seals right back up, reducing any callous.I also like the average of the week and 90 days.Comes with a sample glucose solution to verify the meters reliability.My next A1C is still a few months away, but I can now check to see which foods have the most effect on my glucose and cut those down or completely out.

I’ve been using a glucose monitor since getting pre-diabetes a1c results. My original monitor ran out of strips and this one was cheaper than buying replacement strips. However, I’ve used it 3 weeks now and the results are clearly wrong. It has never shown elevated blood sugar for me, when I know my glucose is high. I just did an 18 hour fast before doing blood work and my glucose didn’t go down, either. Try a different one, this one does not work.
