Perfect for our fireplace!

I’ve been wanting a mantle for 21 years. I never thought about buying a pre made one. I took a chance on this one and I just want to say, it’s very well made. It was easy enough to install by myself. I did have my husband help hold it when putting in the final screws. The wood grain is perfect! I think the only improvement I could suggest (which another reviewer stated) they really do need to included the wood plugs for the holes on top of the mantle. I’m waiting to see how it does with the heat. I read some mantles have a protective coating applied so the heat won’t ruin the wood. This one didn’t say it had any. Time will tell. Mine is mounted above a wood stove insert and it throws a lot of heat. I’m hoping for the best. So far it’s perfect!

Nice looking and fairly simple to install, but some quality issues. Paint scratches easily, even from something like holiday garland. And there are 5 holes across the top where the screws go but there's nothing to cover the holes. Looks pretty bad without garland or other items completely covering it. Should provide some type of hole fitting or plug.

Nice mantle, looks just like the photo. Installed easily. It didn’t come with covers to hide the top screws which would have been helpful.

This would have been the perfect mantle if not for the footlong scratch on the left front. I returned it and asked for a replacement. I received the new mantle and it had the exact same scratch. I believe there is a manufacturing defect. I do not recommend. I ordered a different mantle from a different manufacturer and it arrived in perfect condition.
