This is a well built quality case. It locks, but I guess if someone wanted to get into it, they could. I bought mainly for fire protection. I had a fire about 9 years ago and I was looking for something for now that would protect my smaller valuables and this is supposed to be fire proof. Hopefully it is.

I got this to finally organize some of my important documents and such. I have some paper bills as well as valuable coins as well that are stored in various places in my house. Biggest thing for me with this was getting all my valuables into one location/container. In the event I need to leave quickly or house fire or whatever, I can just grab this and not have to fumble around looking for this or that should an emergency arise. I liked the paper file folder in this thing as it makes storage a lot easier specifically for documents. There is the separate card/passport holder as well which I may/may not use. The only "con" I can think of is that I wish the bottom of the case had some compartments or some way to compartmentalize that area to store odd shaped items. I sorta remedied this by getting some zipper pouches to hold money, coins, etc. in those and just place them in the case. Overall, I like it. The lock is essentially useless IMO since you can break it in seconds if you really wanted to. That said, at least it's some measure of safety for this case.
