edit: I'm adding a star after a couple of weeks. The loosening screw can be fixed with a small dab of loctite (be careful not to OVER tighten it when reinstalling) and the mechanism locking up has been fixed with some silicone spray. At first I had to lubricate it every day or two, but as the mechanism broke in (it looks like it had to rub the black coating off of the rails) it's gotten a lot better. If this was half the price, I'd have no problem doing these things and still giving it more stars, but at this price point, I shouldn't have to modify things to function. I want to love this, it's very weighty for it's size, fits very well in the hand, and has a whole host of very satisfying tactile feedback mechanisms. The problem is the main slide/clicker locks up all the time. The side screw loosens up constantly and tightening it helps, but doesn't fix the issue. Definitely not a kid's toy, but functions great as an 'executive' desk toy.

I was initially impressed and satisfied with it, but quickly ran into issues when parts broke on first use. There is a crimped metal strip that is supposed to make a "ting" sound when the slide is lifted and flipped over. On mine, the edge of the slide with the catch was stuck on the metal strip and snapped it right off, super disappointing but there was a replacement part included, so I guess this part breaks often? When swapping out the snapped bar I went to loosen the catch so I could readjust it to it wouldn't happen again but one screw sheered off. This was devastating after initially liking it and taking the price of this in consideration. I was able move it after that though but the replacement one already has quite a bend in it from catching and doesn't look like it will last long. If this was cheaper, I would just chock it up as getting what I paid for, but at $60 I had expected more. Maybe I got a bad one, I'd love to know, but I don't want to shell out another $60 to find out. Additionally during the fix I found that the slide's spring arrived already significantly rusted, leaving rust in the channel as the spring was used.
