Wow! I love that I can use these as a crayon and wet the picture after to activate the watercolor. Lovely blends can be made by overlaying the colors as a chalk before wetting the paper. I found the paints super easy to activate, super dense in pigment, and absolutely delightful to work with! When adding water to the tablet and using it as a watercolor pan, the paints are silky and go on smoothly. They look a bit muted/chalky when they dry but are still beautiful. These are a great value for the money! I love how the colors mix to make vibrant secondaries and a spectrum of neutrals. yellow, blue and magenta together make a deep dark black. I am quite happy with it and the neutrals. See the last photo for color wheels made coloring and wetting the color to activate it, mixing the colors and entering them into a wheel and mixing up very watery mixes of the colors to test the pastels.

I love using these for sketches. I had heard lots of good things about them and they have lived up to the praise. They are fun and sturdy and go a long ways. It comes with a handy storage case if you don't want them rattling around loose in a box.

I like these a lot but they aren't as hard as the earth colors. They keep breaking into pieces, not a big deal, but I like the chunkiness of them whole. I wish there were more colors available!

I read the reviews before purchasing-thank you, everyone who goes to the effort to comment on purchases--and saw a number of comments about not being able to get a purple when mixing these colors, which suggested to me that the red leaned more towards orange than towards a blue-red. This has proven to be the case--the red is kind of brick color. Given that heads-up, I also ordered the singleton magenta to fill in the gap. The magenta and blue together make a very pretty range of true purples from lilac and lavender through a deep iris If you're seeking purple--there you go. I also find that the cover for the cork three-pack is sized generously enough to slip the single in on top of another piece of graphite--obviously not while wet, but it's a means of keeping the spare from wandering. I also have a green (looks like a blue-green in the picture) singleton on order. If anyone is curious about how this blends, let me know and I'll post the outcome.

Worked well to mark my painting and I got the effect I wanted. It was a little harder than I expected and arrived broken in two peices. This did not make a problem for me when I used it. Will definately purchase again.

Nicely packaged, great quality

It is very nice when dry but the color really pops when wet, so stunning and vivid. They mix well when wet but I have to play with them to get the color I want. Update 01/17: I received magenta today. Such a beautiful color, even more so when wet.
