Great-tasting, high-quality matcha. The colour is very vivid and seems like a good choice for the price.

The only reason that I purchased this Matcha was to use in my smoothie batches... I have an issue where I can't chew food because of ongoing procedures that are removing my teeth to access bone fragments, so it will probably be a good few years before I can comfortably chew again (most likely with dentures or implants). So I have been making these 2-day smoothie batches with over 50+ ingredients (all healthy & extremely nutritious) and decided to add some Matcha into the mix - obviously for it's health-related benefits + medicinal properties!.. I use a lot of different powdered ingredients in addition to the many other types, so it makes a lot of sense to use something like this, as it is ingested whole, doesn't take up any extra 'space' in the mixture and can be used in all smoothies! At first, it doesn't like to mix, but after about 5-10 seconds, it stops being hydrophobic and begins to partially dissolve, until it is fully blended into the mixture. I was apprehensive about the potentially organic/earthy flavour ruining my carefully curated unique concoction, as I have perfected the 'ultimate' Best-tasting & most delectable smoothie in the world, with complicated, yet dreamy flavours, plus an incredibly creamy and irresistible texture (it really is something incredible AND super healthy, yet tastes like the best dessert in the world!)… It has to be perfect, because I have to eat it everyday! The Matcha does NOT produce an overpowering or unpleasant flavour and can hardly be tasted, yet instils a subtle hint of an earthy, yet fresh/clean green tea taste to the delicious mixture. It balances well with the complex foundation of the flavour profiles and inhibits a mildly contrasted note of organic-tasting herbal tea that provides a distinct 'boost' to the creaminess of the other fruit, nuts & seed infusions that are exotic. (Also, it doesn't need to be brewed before use in smoothies - just add the powder directly into the mixture, which is convenient!). I got this as a 'tester' pack for the new addition and am happy with the product! It has a very distinctive green hue, that is both bright and vigorous; I can say that it borders artificial AND dreamscape fresh green flora. It depends on how much you use, but even the tiniest quantity has a massive impact on colour-change, regardless of how big the [smoothie] batch is! (Usually a 'swamp-green' hue, but if used in large quantities, or added to a predominantly 'green' ingredient smoothie mix, than it can take on a more 'forest-green' colour profile). The pouch it is packaged in has a relatively 'premium' appearance and feels to be great quality, like it's contents! It is re-sealable and rather durable/thick, with high-quality graphics + finishing. As for the powder itself... I noticed that it does not 'clump' together and remains in a fine-dust state, regardless of manipulation and retains this desirable state within the pouch - even after repeated exposure to extremely mild humidity/moisture. I definitely recommend this product, mainly for it's undeniable health benefits + medicinal properties; it IS on the pricey side, but that is commonplace for such high-quality, premium-grade products - you get what you pay for and expense/value is a prominent sign of quality. (I was expecting a little more than what was vended at this price, but not really complaining). ***(EDIT)*** If you 'dip' your finger in it and taste the powder, it does actually taste like a VERY strong, earthy 'tea' - well it IS ground-up tea-leaves!.. And it transfers ridiculously easily to ANY surface, as it is an incredibly fine powder (similar to a heavy, full-bodied flour), which is a pain when pouring from the pouch because you always get some stuck to the pouch above the grip-seal; any moisture can quickly turn a spill into a thick, sticky-ish substance with dye-like properties... +++ The picture makes it [the powder] look quite a bit 'lighter' (brighter; in hue) than under normal conditions - it has a considerably darker appearance... more like a dark-bright forest-green, depending on the lighting conditions + shade, colour & intensity. Under solid lighting, it appears brighter than standard, especially under white-light as opposed to yellow (natural) lightning. ***

Good Matcha, But Could Be Better This matcha has a nice, vibrant green color and a pleasant, slightly grassy aroma. The taste is good – smooth and not too bitter, with a hint of sweetness. It froths up nicely when whisked, making a decent latte. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is that I've had slightly higher-quality matcha that had a more intense flavor and smoother texture. However, for the price, this is a great everyday matcha that I'd definitely buy again. Perfect for lattes or adding to smoothies!

This matcha has incredible taste, color, and texture, especially for something labelled ‘premium grade’ and at such a fair price. Super bright green and a very strong matcha flavor. :)

An elite product with a nice taste. Top quality matcha from Japan. A little goes a long way so a small container full will last you ages. Smooth texture. Very drinkable. I would definitely recommend and will buy this brand in future.

This is pure and simple quality from tea leaf for fresh flavoured infusion of beverage drink. Colour is really cool. The packet ensures the powder stays fresh and air sealed against elements. Easy to prepare, use and store. (Don't boil the incoming water, it will lead to burning). Great stuff Heapwell, look forward to future product offerings. Thank you

I am completely new to matcha and wasn’t sure which one to get. I’m very pleased that I bought this powder! It is very nice. Not too bitter and doesn’t have a strong, icky grassy taste like I’ve heard some people describe. It’s very pleasant, especially made into a latte. It’s creamy and smooth and leaves a nice aftertaste in your mouth. I like that it’s lab-tested to ensure purity and quality and that it is absent of contaminants, which is very important. It’s just pure, beautiful tea, grown and harvested with a lot of care and love. I bought this out of sheer curiosity as I’ve been watching a lot of people on YouTube and elsewhere making matcha desserts and various other delicious creations. But I also bought it for my mental health and physical well-being, and to anyone else who is suffering such issues, I can’t say 100% as it’s early days but I am already feeling much brighter after consuming this tea. It feels cleansing and soothing on the body and mind. Just one thing, it can be a little bit lumpy, so just make sure you use a tea strainer and mix it all up, well. Other than that - all good. Aunque soy habitual de las infusiones no soy experto en té, y no se qué relevancia tiene que cuente con el galardón del prestigioso premio "Great Taste", pero lo que sí se que se confirma su calidad y sabor una vez que lo pruebas. Una de las características más destacadas de este producto es su versatilidad. Además de preparar té matcha tradicional, también es ideal para añadir a lattes, batidos y tartas, lo que permite disfrutar de su sabor único en una variedad de recetas. Por contra, el precio de este té matcha de grado premium es más elevado en comparación con otras opciones en el mercado. Aunque, personalmente creo que su calidad justifica el precio. He probado alguno de supermercado con la etiqueta "bio" y dejaba bastante que desear, así que para mi es una buena compra. Salvo que seas de los que bebe té (y el mismo) a todas horas, y teniendo en cuenta que tan solo se añade una pequeña porción (1gramo, lo que equivale a lo que cubre una minicucharilla), el sobre, aunque no muy grande, debe durar una buena temporada. Compra recomendada.

This matcha has a vibrant green color which is very indicative of its high quality. It has a more vegetal and floral scent to it and full of umami, no bitterness. It blends very well too and gives good boost of energy without all the jitters from caffeine. Makes a very good matcha latte. I highly recommend.
