It's plasticine, modelling clay. Nothing more to say, it is what it is.

Does the job
This modelling clay is the same as plasticine, I bought this because it was cheaper but there isn’t much of each colour. Luckily there were 2 boxes so we did have enough but 1 definitely wouldn’t have been enough.
