Electronic paper tablet.
Handy tool for taking notes. The only problem I have was the COST & poor instructions on how to use. Most of the online videos don’t show you how to use efficiently. I do like the tool and its compact size. Other see it and don’t like you cant read books or watch movies. One other thing its not super bright. But exelent battery life. I will continue to find more ways to use it.

Movin' on up!
To the East side, we finally got a piece of the pie! reMarkable user/subscriber. Saw the Pro release, drooled a bit. Many, many moultons later, after they've destroyed the cities and the buildings are ashes on the blood stained streets, I finally got the wherewithall to upgrade to the Pro. It's beautiful. A work of art. Amazing. Really slick looking and get this, functional! Multi-functional, even! If you like things, get this.

Perfect for travel and meeting notes
Originally I got the reMarkable Paper Pro to take quick notes during calls and reduce the amount of sticky notes I have spread around my desk. At first it helped me become more organized and have a clean desk, but then I found more uses for it. I brought the Paper Pro to a work conference and expo recently. reMarkable made notes significantly easier when on my feet networking at events and while walking along the trade show halls talking to customers at different booths. Overall I fully recommend using the Paper Pro. It was super easy to send notes to my work computer and even convert them into text for a quick copy + paste into meeting reports. The pen is pretty cool too. I’ve used a Microsoft surface in the past and hated using the pen to take hand written notes. It felt weird and when my hand rested on the tablet, it would throw the notes off. With the Paper Pro, it actually feels like writing on paper, which was a real nice change up compared to the tablets I’ve used previously. Being able to use different colors and the highlighter was an added bonus. All in all, the Paper Pro is an excellent tool with the perfect blend of technology and simplicity.

reMarkable has HORRIBLE customer service---I urge you NOT to buy this product!!!!
Let me begin by saying that the reMarkable is a useful tool and the concept and functionality of it is great. HOWEVER, when I first purchased it and needed help, they had terrific telephone support. When I had a problem, it took less than 5 minutes to get it solved. NOW, the customer service is AWFUL! Here is the story--- Everything was going great until reMarkable pushed an update. That update caused multiple problems, the worst of which was that all of my folders (where the notebooks are arranged) were gone. I am now well into a second week with no resolution because they did away with their telephone support and you can only communicate via chat. I have chatted with different people at least 6 times and if you are lucky enough not to be dropped mid-chat, the CSR will tell you how sorry they are and then tell you that it has to go to a higher level and someone will contact you by e-mail. I have asked, no begged, to have someone call me, but they will not do it. I have been contacted by e-mail, but with a list of questions that could be answered on a call in less than 60 seconds. So we have gone back and forth multiple times and I have been assigned multiple "tickets" that don't get addressed until I go back onto their chat and ask for an update. When you ask for a telephone call, they ignore the request or apologize and tell you "no." This company needs to take a page from Apple's playbook and get it together! Unless you are a genius and can figure out how to help yourself, I urge you NOT TO BUY THIS PRODUCT until they bring back some semblance of customer service because you will be on your own!

Fantastic hardware held back by software.
First off, I love the actual device. The screen size is perfect; not too big like a 13.3" iPad, but also larger than typical 10" eink tablets and great for reading academic papers. The body is rigid and premium feeling, and the overall physical experience is very nice. I'm a little mixed on the pen being active and "proprietary", but at least the writing feel is excellent (though I am concerned on how fast the tips wear down). While the front light isn't the brightest, I feel that it's actually enough for me, since I only need it when the room gets a bit too dim, and it works great in that regard. The color is nice, though some may find it a bit too pastel and slow since the refresh rate of color is slower than B&W. What I don't like about the device though is how limiting its software is. No handwritten note searching. No support (yet) for many languages like Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, etc. Worst of all is the lack of "workflow" enhancements that make moving papers/documents between the device and others a pain. I read pdf's quite often, and the workflow of manually syncing these between devices and into my PDF library (Zotero) is very slow and annoying. I get that they want you to pay for their connect subscription, but so many competitors offer this functionality for free, and do it way better (BOOX for example has great Zotero integration). Overall if you want something that replaces a single notebook and does nothing else, this is perfect. However, if you need to do some actual "digital" work with it that forces you to leave the ecosystem, you might find it a little limiting.

The ReMarkable Paper Pro with its Type Folio is an ideal solution for this Freelance copywriter
This is my third ReMarkable. The ReMarkable 1 had some issues, but it was the only game in town. The ReMarkable 2 and the Connect System still came out on top once the software team got its act together. Today, there are other e-ink tablets, and each one has good points. I am a freelance copywriter and for me the ReMarkable Paper Pro fits my workflow best, and I look forward to coming improvements in the software and the system. I have added the newest Type Folio, and that makes it a perfect partner with my Windows and iPad laptops. Portable, reliable, flexible and useful at every step of my process, from ideation to client meetings to drafting and presentation.

The best tablet ever
Life-changing device. So convenient for notetaking. Adding color took my Remarkable experience to a whole new level. The battery lasts forever, it weighs so much less than my iPad air, the screen is larger, and it FEELS LIKE PAPER. The back light is a game changer and causes no eye strain. Take the time to learn how to load Kindle books (it's not that hard and you own them - it's not illegal) and you can highlight and notate them. The tablet is thin but extremely well built. I never worry about breaking it. They've added quite a bit of functionality lately - the ability to upload screenshots from your phone, the ability to draw shapes that snap into perfection, sharing your notes instantly. The only drawback is that this device costs as much as an iPad that contains a ton of more tech. Keep in mind, however, iPads have always been sold for less than they are worth. Apple could never sell them for what they are worth, especially if they have to stop making them in China. They make their money on selling your data, and licensing accessories. Get out of the ecosystem! You won't regret switching to Remarkable.
