Slip slidy fun
To be clear, this is not a standard massage gel/oil. This is for couples' naked massages, where the person doing the massage rubs their body over the person receiving the massage. This gel enables you to get super slippery. Due to this, you ideally want a good waterproof blanket down, and for more fun, get yourself a Lilo kind of air bed (smooth plastic, no felt). That, with this gel, and you'll be sliding all over the place. It's great fun. A little powder goes a long way, so be careful how much you mix. You can always mix more, but it's a waste if you make too much by accident. This is great value, for an easy-to-use item, to create a very fun experience. I'd happily get this again

Great Nuru Massage Gel
I’ve previously bought liquid nuru gel concentrate, assuming that that was the best way to buy it, and I had no idea how little powder it would take to make a vast amount of gel. This is incredibly good value, after trying this I’ll be buying it in powder form from now on. As other reviewers pointed out, sometimes to their intense surprise, this is an adult ‘couples’ product for a very specific type of massage. If you’re planning on buying this just to give each other back rubs, you should probably look up exactly what a nuru massage is before purchase. Do not look it up on your work computer. I usually try to add photographs to my reviews, for obvious reasons I won’t be attaching any photographs of the product being used. In all, this is highly recommended, and I think it’s great value.

Easy to mix.
Whilst the product itself is good quality its not for me. The powder was easy enough to mix and while it was slighty lumpy after mixing I left it a while and all the powder was absorbed. One teaspoon makes 500mls of massage gel so a little goes a long way however on use it dissipates quite quickly so you need a lot of it. I also was not a fan of the stringyness it has in use.

Mixing requires some time and patience
I ordered this gel formula to try it out for massages at home. It only requires a small amount to mix with water and it should be used sparingly to avoid making too much. I found that it requires quite a lot of mixing to ensure a smooth consistency but after some patience, it is quite effective. It's a bit like wall paper paste in consistency but is quite a nice feeling for body to body massage styles. Overall I would recommend it but some people may be put off with the effort required to prepare it.

Clumpy, stringy, with a faintly sulphur smell - not what we expected
This was bitterly disappointing. Followed the instructions to make the gel by the letter, ended up with a number of big clumps that refused to break down even after long periods of stirring... Had to try to SIEVE the gel and the clumps ended up turning into a sticky, stretchy string that was impossible to get rid of. And the smell. Weird. Faintly like sulphur. It mellowed after a few minutes but still hung in the air. Luckily I made the gel in the kitchen and not the bedroom. The powder itself smelt pretty nice before adding the water... Frustrating. While the resulting gel itself is quite good (minus the clumps), retaining heat relatively well (you add 40° water and mix), the overall experience of creating the gel and then disposing of the leftovers was not great at all. Had high hopes, but sadly won't be using again.

Great massage gel and value for money!
Used Both the Peach and Sakura Gels Pros: This massage gel powder is great. Just a teaspoon mixed with warm water quickly transforms into a luxuriously silky gel that glides beautifully over the skin. It begins gelling the moment the powder hits the water. The peach scent is soft and soothing, ideal for aromatherapy and unwinding. I love that it’s free from parabens and glycerine, making it gentle even for sensitive skin. Perfect for full-body massages or pampering spa nights at home. I gave my husband a massage and also tested it on my feet and legs, the cooling sensation was noticeable and very pleasant. After about 10 minutes of consistent massaging, the gel began absorbing into the skin, making the process feel effortless. Both of us felt noticeable relief from muscle tension and aches. Cons: Dissolving the powder took more time than expected, t took a couple of hours for the white powder to fully disappear. The peach version had a lovely scent, but it dissipated fairly quickly. While the gel’s slipperiness is a huge benefit for massage, it made cleanup a bit tricky. Pro tip: don’t pour it directly from the bowl onto the body! It’s best to dip your hands into the gel first, then apply it gradually. Still unsure about the best way to dispose of any leftover gel, it’s not exactly something you want to pour down the drain.

I would give this Nuru gel 5 stars but the time it takes to set up is a little long. It needs to set for at least 20 minutes to remove all the clumps. It is odorless and tasteless and a little goes a long way.

The peach fragrance is a bit unpleasant…to myself, anyway-another person might like it—it’s just not for me. Apart from the scent, the only other minor annoyance is the amount of product, which arrived in a small pouch. I was expecting more. To be fair, it does make a decent amount when added to water and developed fully. I give it three stars.

I ordered this gel because Significant Other has had severe back pains in the last couple of weeks and massaging sometimes helps the muscles relax. Without being too slippery or at all oily, and with no discernible residue, this helps my hands slide over the skin better and not just rub it raw. It has a a mucus-like to gel-like consistency depending on how much you mix up. The peach scented variety has a nice peach aroma similar to a lot of peachy bath products I have used. Mixing up the gel is a different kind of experience. It's similar to trying to mix corn starch into hot water without getting any blobs. They show a hand in the gel on the package for the preparation step. I do strongly recommend mixing it with your hand to get an even consistency. Unless you go two an electric mixer, simple mixing with a spoon is not going to give you a nice, smooth result. In the future, I am also going to take a page from good cooking techniques and mix the powder with only a small amount of water at first so that it's easier to get smooth. I didn't find the process of mixing it to unpleasant. The goo feels nice between your fingers and I find it somewhat satisfying to work out the lumps in the same way that bubble wrap can be satisfying when you pop it. Overall, I am very happy with this product. I like the smell. I am happy with how well it works for massage. What I actually like best about it, though, is how economical it is and how environmentally friendly it is to buy massage gel as a powder. As long as i'm careful in my measurements, i can mix up as much or as little as I need at one time and then just store the rest of the small bag of powder away. I realize that for many people, having it as a powder will be exactly what they dislike about this product. No, it's not as convenient as buying a prepared gel. It just depends on what your priorities are. I like that there is less waste and less cost and less to store.

I have finally been able to try this gel after ordering it all the way back in July. I usually need to be massaged from time to time because I get migraines and tension headaches but most mediums dry really quickly and end up tugging my skin or the fragrance aggravates my migraines even more. I like that this mixture is fragrance free and if I wanted to add my own fragrance or essential oils to it, I could. Although it may seem like a really small sachet, one packet actually yields a hefty amount so you won't even need to use that much at a time. The glide is very smooth and non-sticky, and it feels gentle on skin, which matched my expectations from past experiences with lighter topical products. Some downsides: mixing can be a little tedious as it takes a bit of time to fully dissolve the powder. Unfortunately, you won't be able to use the mixture right away and you'd need have it prepped ahead of time.
