Amazing thocky keyboard
I'm crazy picky about mechanical keyboards. I bought five different ones, and this is the one I kept. I got the "banana" switch version and am so happy I did! It's built like a tank, VERY heavy, metal, and stays on my desk. It's a 100% full keyboard, I just can't live with 75% or smaller ones, I NEED a keypad, I need extra buttons, and this keyboard has it all! Those extra buttons can be mapped to custom functions. I use a calculator a lot, so it was easy to map one of the top-right ones to this function. I still couldn't figure out how to map a notepad app; I guess I'll have to use Autokey for that. I absolutely love their KSA key profile! This is the first time I have seen this profile. It does not just look retro-ish but also provides the fastest typing speed for me. I compared my typing speed between several profiles, like my previous favorite SA and OSA, from another Keychron keyboard. There's a very noticeable WPM speed improvement here, numbers don't lie. And it just feels Soooooo good to type on, has an amazing creamy thock, and is such a pleasure. RBG Backlighting is nice. It doesn't shine through keycaps, but I don't care about RGBs on keyboards at all... You can swap switches if you like, but I just love these bananas so much that I won't be doing any swapping. I'm not crazy about white keys. They sure look great, but I know from experience they're gonna get dirty fast. So, I ordered another KSA keycap set from Keychron (as you see on the photo). Unfortunately, KSA is proprietary, so you can't get them from a third party, which somewhat limits color schemes. There are a few issues with this keyboard. The biggest one for me is the lack of adjustable feet... Why, oh why, Keychron? You have them on your other keyboards! I'm so used to having the keyboard lifted on the back side. You can get 3rd party feet, but they would affect the stability of the keyboard, so I decided to re-learn it, and honestly, I got used to having a keyboard without lift, although I think I could type faster and slightly more comfortably if I could fit it's back side. I did get a Bambu wrist rest, and it's amazing with this keyboard. Another issue I had was with the software. I wanted to map one of the keys to Notepad, so I created a macro that somehow broke my keyboard. It would get stuck in Mac mode (I have Windows) and wouldn't switch to other modes (believe me, I tried everything). I was able to fix it by doing a factory restore. Amazing keyboard, totally recommend it if you do a lot of work on your computer!

Wonderful build quality. Easy to flip between Mac and windows
I bought my wife the ergonomic version with the Jupiter bananas and listening to her work and type was so calming and pleasing I had to buy one for myself. The build quality is fantastic. Sturdy and the keycaps feel amazing to type with. It’s gorgeous as well. Now when I’m working and sending emails out to my team or clients, the gentle sounds calm me down and make my emails. Not as easy to angry type on it. I work on both a Mac mini and a windows pc so being able to switch seamlessly between the two by flipping a switch is a huge plus. I’m sure you can make a nicer one for cheaper, but an out of box experience with this build quality and feel is hard to come by.

The creme de la creme of keyboards!
The best, most customizable keyboard I have ever owned! Out of the box, this keyboard is the weight of a small bowling ball, @ 6.25 lbs. I love the SA double shot keycaps. It's like typing on our family's old IBM Selectric II. The OEM Banana switches are good, they have a good resistance, but are not clicky. They would be great in an office setting that doesn't want clicky keyboard noise, or for gamers, although gamers might want to consider buying this keyboard with MX red or MX Brown switches. It is hot swappable, which means you can change the key switches, which I have already done. I like Clicky, resistant key switches, like MX Blues, but I wanted an even stronger switch, so I bought a set of 120 pack of Glorious Gaming Race Gateron Green switches, for precise typing. Now, my Keychron Q6 Max is even better than my old IBM Model M keyboard that died. It's not cheap, either. At $240, (I waited for the Amazon Prime Day sale to get it for $36 less), it's still an investment. Keychron has more affordable keyboard options on Amazon, like the K10 Pro @ $100, the V6 Max @$120, and the V6 wired @ $90. This is the 90210 of keyboards, so if you do invest in it, you probably won't have to buy another keyboard, ever again. The software is QMK/VIA. Web-based programming software, that is a great idea, that is not operating system specific, as most other keyboard companies have you download their, Windows-centric software that only works with Windoze. If you attempt to get their keyboard, use their software, and own a Mac or are on Linux, you're S.O.L., as the download works only for Windoze. The stunning south RGB is very nice, and it has a lot of colors, patterns, and settings for it, that are all programmable from the keyboard. The knob can be programmed to adjust the volume. A nice feature. If you ever have to use customer service, they are very good and respond to your questions or problems quickly. A nice change, since customer service is not the best with other companies. If you can spend the 💰, this is THE keyboard to get!!!

Do not buy
This keyboard is trash, the E, R, D, and F keys started having issues with keys repeating or being unresponsive after about 2 months and their support is unhelpful and unresponsive. I'm back to using a $10 Amazon Basics keyboard I bought in 2013.
