I recently got this bin to help comply with new compost rules and let me tell you - money well-spent! We use one side for compost, one side for regular trash and have really enjoyed the design of this bin in particular. It has a soft close, easy step pedals and removable bin inserts on each side which will help keep it clean. I wanted to knock off 1/2 a star for the noise it makes when it slams against the wall but...that's more a factor of where I chose to put it, not the product's fault. That said - the lids open all the way past 90 degrees and quickly, so keep that in mind if you put it against a wall/cabinet. Lastly, this completely contains any odor from the compost and keeps things clean in the kitchen. Very satisfied!

I love this trash can! The sections are smaller than a normal trash can and normal trash bags are just a bit too big around the edges. But it’s a nice color and fingerprint resistant. The hinges are quiet and open/ close really nicely. It’s very sturdy and mostly metal.

Compared to other trash bins (I did my research), this is a great value. Not only is it attractive but somehow it simplifies the trash and recycling chore. No set up at all. Just open the box and you are in the trash and recycling business. Quality throughout! The inside hard plastic buckets with handles are a great feature which makes putting new bags on and cleaning same a snap. My favorite feature? Is the hydraulics on the bin covers that insure that the covers won't ever slam. They glide quietly back to the closed position. Would highly recommend purchasing this. For the money- it's a great value.

We were looking for a dual trash container with a recycling bin and this fit the bill. It provides a clean sleek look in our kitchen. The bins look small, but they are deep and hold quite a bit of trash. The tops open independently by stepping on a foot pedal.

Each side has a 10 gallon capacity. So it may mean emptying one or the other side out quite often with a larger family. Very clean and aesthetic. Quiet while opening and closing and easy use. Our three year-old granddaughter was so proud of herself for being able to put trash and or recycle where it belonged.

I spent hours reading reviews of all the various trash/recycling cans until I found this one and I'm so happy it got it! Two words, " hydraulic lifts." I'm pretty sure this one innovation with steppable trash lids is a game changer. Almost every can before this I had eventually stopped opening, these little lifts work flawlessly, soft close and are seem strong. This can has great metal handles on each inner container which make removing them a breeze and effectively hold in a 13 gallon bag. They hold a lot too! It is a large unit and it does take up space in my little kitchen but the convenience of it is worth it. High quailty, easy to clean metal exterior too. Get this one!
