I use prescription topical tretinoin and looked at a lot of different people’s recommendations on how to use together, and here’s the best way to use it using the sandwich method: 1. Cleanse your face with a gentle, pH-balanced cleanser. 2. Apply a small amount of Hyaluronic Acid serum to your damp skin. It's SUPER IMPORTANT to apply HA to damp skin as it works by drawing in moisture and can dry out your skin if applied to a dry surface. 3. Wait for the Hyaluronic Acid serum to fully absorb into your skin. This usually takes around 15-20 minutes. 4. Apply a pea-sized amount of Tretinoin to your skin. Be sure to avoid the eye area as this can be particularly sensitive to retinoids. 5. Finish off with a moisturizer to lock in the hydration and protect your skin barrier. In the morning I apply it to damp skin and immediately apply my moisturizer. Foundation and tinted sunscreen go smoothly over it so no worries there. Works great!
