Game changer for my mother with dementia
My mother has dementia and finding activities for her can be hard. Also, she seems to have become more withdrawn in conversations and I wanted to try to find a way to help that. Also, I too find myself struggling to find things to talk to her about that capture her attention enough for her to engage. I thought I would get these and give it a try. It has been wonderful! Not only does it help my father and I to come up with things to talk to her about, she thinks its a game and gets excited to play. It has also been great for my dad as the questions start to trigger memories that have not been thought about in years. My dad often texts me now to tell me that they played this "game" for hours on any given evening. That type of mental stimulation has been great for mom.

Great way to connect with late stage dementia
Mum is in later stage dementia and I’m running out of great ideas to engage her. These cards are awesome and I can just take one out, they are double-sided and we are going through the first side currently, and ask her a question and we can have a little chat about the question and it seems to spark memories sometimes. I will take anything that gives her a little bit of lucidity and memory. These have done the trick and are so multifaceted in their topics and I would highly recommend them for someone to try if you are out of ideas like I was. Love to the mamas!

Perfect for ALZ love ones
Hubby has Alzheimers and struggles to read and speak the way he used to. These cards are great - I give him half of the section of a catagory and me the other half. I'll read him my card and ask him to respond and then I respond to the same card - then he does the same with his cards. So much easier for him to respond to questions that go back to his childhood.

Great family game for seniors/dementia
Perfect conversation starter for dementia patient, we went around the table at a family gathering and we each asked our father the questions, it was so nice to focus on him directly and to see a smile or laugh we rarely see. Some of the questions are past his memory (end stages of dementia) but just having us laugh and focus on him made it a big hit! He had a good night sleep after all the mental stimulation.

Helped engage my mom suffering from advanced dementia
Out of all the games I purchased, this one helped engage with my mom who has advanced dementia. It got her talking which is good. Some of the questions were inconsequential and not applicable so I passed on many of them. But overall it helped engage her which was my goal.

I ordered this for my elderly mother-in-law who has early on-set dementia. I got it for her to play with home care workers that came to sit with her for respite work. She and the first care worker played it and absolutely loved it. I guess they had many laughs and enjoyed it thoroughly.

Very good product. Instructions are simple and use respectful language. Some duplication in the cards. Participant/family have enjoyed using these to promote varied conversations. As the instructions suggest, review cards ahead of time if you wish to pull out questions that could be provocative or create conflict in the discussion (i.e. exploring perceptions around gender roles)
