Impressive cleaning, quiet and easy to use
I’ve used the Eufy Omni S1 for about 8 hours so far, and I’m really impressed. It cleans the floor very well, even in a small house like mine. The mopping performance is even better than I expected, which is a great bonus. The app is easy and intuitive to use. The robot is a little noisy, but honestly, from other reviews I was expecting much more noise. I can watch TV comfortably while it’s hoovering at the lightest power setting. Usually when I set it to maximum power, I prefer to have it clean when I’m not at home, but that’s just because it’s easier. For me, the noise at lower power is not a big deal. Setting it up was a bit challenging for me, as I had to split my Wi-Fi to 2.4GHz to get it connected. I’m not great with technology, but I managed to figure it out in the end. The soap, brushes and dust bag are still in good condition after these first hours of use, which is great. The only small issue I’ve noticed is that the robot doesn’t always get very close to the walls, so a bit of dust might be left along the edges, but nothing major. Also, it would be amazing to be able to adjust a cleaning section from the app even after a session has already started, without needing the robot to return to the station and start over. One more thing to mention is that I have a small metal floor divider between my bathroom and hallway, and unfortunately it seems just a bit too high for the robot to pass over on its own. So for that room, I have to help it manually. Overall, it’s a fantastic cleaning robot and I’m very happy with the purchase.

'Rudy, Master Of the Four Winds' - a wonderful robot vacuum, an even better friend
We've been using this for a few weeks now and couldn't be happier with it. It's set up to clean three rooms (large living room, large kitchen, long hallway, medium sized bathroom) which it does handily on a normal charge. It's easy to set up and very fun to watch it do its thing. It's an odd little duck, and very much exhibits an almost eccentric personally whilst bumbling around and occasionally bumping into things during the course of its duties. We named ours 'Rudy, Master Of The Four Winds'. It seemed fitting. In terms of the quality of cleaning, at the end of each run the floor is spotless of visible dust / dirt. It's shocking how much Rudy manages to pick up in what feels like a relatively short space of time. I'm not sure how he would get on with a heavily soiled area (e.g. dropped coffee grounds), but based on the size of the chunks I've taken out of his cassette I'm sure he would perform okay. Overall, the cleaning is very thorough and it is noticeable after just one day if, like us, you're not great at keeping up with the hoovering. In terms of the configuration options, I've stuck to keeping him on auto, however I'm aware there are other options for spot cleaning, room cleaning etc. I haven't used any though, so I can't comment. From an aesthetic standpoint, the robot is sleek an low profile, but adorable and quirky. When you see the robot doing his thing, it's difficult not to personify him as 'one of the family'. The final pro has been the battery life. The robovac generally is rated on Amazon and in the manual as 90 minutes, but we've frequently hit 110+ minutes with Rudy before he goes into 'get home' mode. The dog even likes him too, though it took a few days before they started to trust each other. In the interest of balance, we have encountered a few minor problems with him. The first was a problem with the scheduler, so we contacted support to get some help. Anker were very quick to respond and advised us what we were doing wrong (turning him off when emptying the cassette, doh). Since their troubleshooting, Rudy has been pretty much perfect. They even insisted on refunding us £18 due to the issues we had, despite us refusing it! It absolutely wasn't necessary, but it was a good gesture and I believe it shows that they are willing to stand by the quality and performance of their product. The second and last problem we had was related to Rudy getting stuck at first on, and then subsequently under, my office chair spokes. I was able to work out that the casters on the chair are quite low profile, so Rudy was somehow managing to 'ramp up' on to it. Since discovering this, I've been tucking the casters in and the problem hasn't presented again, however coming home to find the thing in impossible positions for a couple of days was intensely funny. Popped him back on the floor, hit the auto button and off he went. In summary, this is probably the best household appliance I've ever bought. Having totally clean floors with zero effort is an amazing and welcome novelty. A side benefit is we are now actively keeping the floor clear of cables, dog toys, etc and the house looks a lot more presentable for it. Yes, that's right: getting a robot hoover literally made us better people. In the future when we have a bigger property / more floors, I'll buy another one (at least) without hesitation, and I'm looking forward to Anker hopefully releasing a wet mop variant too.

Brilliant machine
UPDATE AFTER 18 MONTHS: We use this daily and suddenly it's developed a squeak which is annoying, but otherwise good. This has been used every day for an house each day for the last 18 months. We've definitely gotten our money's worth. Just make sure you properly maintain it. Clean the filters regularly, remove the brushes and the front wheel and remove th fluff and dust. It does pick up less than it originally did. I think it'll be where it's just too dusty inside but it still vacuums and collects a full box each day. It does bang in to things though... Original review: There is too much to say about how fantastic this machine is. Considering its competitors costs normally £100 maybe £200 above what the price of this is and they have mixed reviews I'm very pleased that we decided to buy this one at this price. We have two labradors and one ginger tabby cat so you can only imagine the amount of hair and just that is accumulated on a daily basis in our house, and we decided to buy this to reduce the amount of vacuuming that we were doing on a daily basis just to keep under control of all the hair. When you stop hoovering for a day in our house suddenly it becomes an absolutely hairy nightmare all over the place. So other than the price this attracted us to this the reviews also attracted after this as it seems to be quite capable of dealing with the pet hair and with the normal collection of that that you'd get, Plus it also seemed to manage the short carpets we have dotted around the place as well (by the reviews). When I initially opened the box I was slightly sceptical about whether this vacuum cleaner would be alright in our house (we have wooden floors and we have carpets), and I was also sceptical about the functionality of any robot hoover. The package arrived well presented with more than adequate packing which I thought was quite reassuring, and the machine and all of its parts were neatly packed away and looked very clean and tidy and well presented overall. With only been using this machine for a few days, but we have tried all of the different functions that it offers and overall this is a very good machine that I would imagine does exactly what it's higher costing competitors do for a really reasonable amount of money. The remote control is very easy to use and the machine itself is quite easy to use, when you first set it off don't be put off by its seemingly erratic behaviour, it tends to try and find every possible space on the floor in no coherent manner, but if you just leave it then you'll see all is fine. Functionality of this little beauty is quite something, not only can it to spot clean for an area which may have a spillage or a considerable amount of dirt, but it also has a max button for when you get onto carpets and a like. One thing that I will comment on is the need to point the Remote directly at the vacuum cleaner as it does state so in the guide, this is because if you don't certain programs such as the schedule mode will not function and you will be left scratching your head wondering why it hasn't come on. All you need to do is set the time on the remote was pointing at the vacuum cleaner, and make sure you set the schedule whilst pointing the remote at the vacuum cleaner. I've given is for stores overall rather than five because there's just a couple of things which I find a little frustrating, perhaps it is me that is the problem and not the machine value, for example it tends to get stuck in certain places which you would think we're quite easy to avoid such as between some chair legs or between a table and The floor, or apparently on the front door mat . I know that most of these machines will probably get stuck in similar places but for the functionality that it offers I would've thought that getting stuck between two chair legs would not of been an issue and it would have prevented itself from doing so as it's a bit of a tight squeeze to say the least. That said if I had the opportunity to do this whole experience again I would not change my decision on what I purchased and I would still be very satisfied with my purchase overall. If you purchase this machine it will not dissatisfy you and you will be overjoyed with what he's capable of doing. Apologies for any spelling mistakes or grammatical errors, I was using voice to text on the iPhone.

Great vacuum, terrible app.
I have developed a love-hate relationship with my Eufy L60. On the one hand it is an amazing device, the vacuum is great at keeping floors clean without having to drag a vacuum round yourself. It gets into lots of tight spaces that are difficult with a normal vacuum (e.g. under sofas and cabinets). The mop head is great for giving relatively clean floors a once over. The mop head does have some design floors; when it sits at the base station, the wet mop head can leak water which isn’t great for the longevity of the hair cutter (after 12months I needed to strip the assembly to resolve a corrosion issue). As a result I remove the mop head after use to avoid this happening again. So why 1 star? The app. It’s terrible. At first it seemed great, but Eufy have slowly destroyed it. It regularly forgets I own a device, never remembers the maps, won’t save changes to configurations, and constantly has connectivity issues. Based on the app experience (on IOS) I wouldn’t touch this system with a barge pole (yes it’s that bad!). I’ve resorted to favouring my trusty upright vac as I just don’t want to face the app issues when trying to get the thing to work. An app should be seen as a core feature; if it’s not fit for purpose your shouldn’t sell the end product. If it were a physical feature, it would be recalled and unlisted.

Much better than I had hoped for
Firstly, Eufy (I'm sorry, I can't help anthropomorphising here, so I'm going to refer to it as "he", was very-well packaged. A simple cardboard box with a fitted tray-thing. It was simple and easy to open, but he was well-protected for his journey to his new home. (Sorry, I know he's an "it", but..... ah well. At least I haven't named him as others previously). Anyway, back to the point. He was quickly removed from his packaging and the little brushes were quickly snapped on. I put the docking station against the wall and plugged it in. I installed 2x AAA batteries in the remote control. Next, I switched on Eufy, using the button on the top, and off he went about business. He ran around for maybe ten minutes or so before he gave the error message for low battery, so I pressed the "home" button on the remote control. He then automatically drove himself to his docking station and connected for charging. His single button flashing blue to show that he was charging. Once he was fully charged, I pressed "auto" on the remote control, with a bleep, he backed slowly away from his charger, paused, made another little series of bleeps, and set about cleaning the room. He's fascinating to watch as he roams around, and he's so quiet. I was not expecting that at all. I thought he'd be as loud as a standard vacuum, but I can (and have) be sitting watching TV in the same room as him, and forget he's running about until he gently bumps my feet. He does actually do an excellent job too. His dust box was embarrassingly full when he'd finished. His movements appear random, but he gets the job done. My floor is clean and I've not had to raise a finger (except to press the remote control). Actually, I've got even lazier because I bought a gadget which can control infra-red devices through wifi and through the use of a couple of apps and an android tablet, I can tell Alexa through my Echo Dot to set him working. I just have to say "Alexa, turn on cleaner", and off he goes. (I say "cleaner", not "Eufy", because Alexa can't cope with the word "Eufy"!). When the floor is clean or I just want Eufy to stop roaming about, I tell Alexa to turn him off. He bleeps, pauses and heads at a slower pace back to his dock. I've tried the other modes and they work as they should. You can get him to concentrate on a part of the floor, concentrate on the edges, make him use max power mode (he doesn't develop ridiculous wheels and a loud exhaust), or you can program him to start cleaning at a set time, for example whilst you are out. Also, you have directional controls on the remote, so you can drive him about like some kind of radio-controlled toy car. Or direct him to where you want him to clean. He manages well with most floor types. He does the hard floor in the kitchen and the ordinary carpet around the apartment well. He does struggle a little with a frankly awful rug (but I'm getting a new rug soon). It's an overly- fluffy one, but it was cheap with about a 35mm pile. He does manage to clean it, but he has got stuck on it a couple of times. My advice, buy the Eufy and get rid of your awful thick rug. He loves to eat thin wires, such as speaker cables. He gobbled mine, and after I rescued them from him, he returned for another go. They must have been delicious. It's my own fault for being untidy and lazy. My apartment is now eufy-proofed. Anyway, I've droned on for too long, so in conclusion, I'm a lot more impressed and happy with him than I thought I'd be. He cleans the floor well, he's entertaining to watch, he's kinda cute in a weird way, he doesn't fall down the stairs, no matter how much I tried to send him that way(!), he's so quiet, doesn't complain, doesn't judge me on how filthy my apartment was, doesn't stink like my old vacuum seemed to do (it didn't have a filter so it just blew dust everywhere). The price is excellent. I did initially think he was an extravagant purchase, but he's so good at what he does that if I'd known how good he is, I'd have been prepared to pay more.

Unbelievable results for price
We purchased this as a replacement for 7.5 year old Dyson Eye as we couldn'tget replacement battery. The price difference is huge, so we were a little concerned that the Eufy could function anywhere near as well as the (costly) Eye. We've had it for about a month now, and we're very impressed. We have bamboo flooring so suction not an issue. We easily removed the mop so that the mopping function switched off. We don't wear shoes in house, and like to wash floors with specialised cleaning solution. The vacuuming pattern is very efficient; perimeter of room done first, then back and forth across remainder. Goes around pets, or other objects. The app is brilliant. Initially mapping house is much easier than I had imagined. The device scoots into each room, does a bit of a twirl, scans, then produces room layout. It's quite something to watch. You can then name each room, and add No-go Zones (excellent for things like dog biwl area and kitchen bar stools, etc.). You can apply a range of settings for each room, or just let it go. You can also choose which rooms you want cleaned. Cleaning seems to take place in the order selected. Depending on settings, the device pops back to its base station and de-tangles and empties its bin. This is a very noisy process. And finally, unlike the old Eye, this machine gets right into edges with the spinning brush. Brilliant 👏

Possibly the Best Amazon Prime Day purchase… Ever!
I’d long toyed with the idea of purchasing a robovac for a while. Amazon Prime day offered a selection with some eye-catching discounts, so I short listed a few and dived into reviews to select the right one for me. The Eufy struck the right balance in regards to price and specs. Setup was pretty easy and largely self explanatory. Peel off a few sticky covers and bumper guards and you’re pretty much good to go. Dust collecting bin and water tank/cleaning cloth are fairly obvious to click into place. There’s a QR code to load up the App from your App Store and I was up and running in a few minutes. The App will initially prompt users to initiate the Eufy to perform a ‘Mapping’ task in which the unit maps the layout of your floors. Suction is respectable for the size of unit. Noise, even on max setting, is well below my conventional vacuum. The results were more than acceptable and although the mop function isn’t exactly thorough in the mop and bucket sense, it’s adequate for a daily damp dust to keep floors fresh. I intend to use my Eufy for a daily clean keeping my normal vacuum and mopping to once a week! Certainly time saving! App is really easy to use. Getting into features I can personalise routines and cleaning levels individual to each room. I can also sent Eufy to clean any room whenever I want, even doing a quick spot clean when required. I can get Eufy to clean my whole modest sized 2 bedroom flat, vacuum and mop, within 40 minutes on one charge - brilliant. My only complaints are- * I didn’t buy one sooner! * I wish I’d bought the Self Emptying Unit as suction is very good at collecting and the dust collecting unit is on the small side.

So good, I bought a second one!
Love, love, love this product! Ever since I discovered that robovac's existed, I have wanted one! I always thought that the Roomba was just too expensive, then I discovered this guy. I read some of the reviews on here and I had been thinking about it for a few months, checking back every now and again to read newer reviews. Once I started googling Eufy by name, I was convinced. This robovac gets rave reviews both on Amazon and in general on the web. It is picked as the best Robovac by experts and I have to agree with them. Firstly the price is right for me. Paying £500+ for a robot vacuum just did not scream value to me, and I could never justify it to myself or my other half who was totally against this purchase to start with. I mean, sweeping and hoovering are just so tedious but I love my money and I love getting value even more! Secondly, we have a huge amount of dust in our home. For whatever reason no matter how often we dusted or swept, we would see dust appearing again in a matter of hours. It got to the point where dust bunnies were appearing in our bedroom and the thought of sleeping in that amount of dust just freaked me out. So I finally took the plunge and ordered this guy. I had him in my basket for a few weeks as I like to see if prices go up or down. This guy didn't so I was confident that the price would not drop once I ordered him, and it still has not. He arrived in two days and has transformed our home! He works pretty much out of the box so we spent our first evening just following him around and watching him in amazement. Let me tell you, you will be disgusted by the amount of dust he picks up over the first few days! I was so embarrassed, he would fill up the tray easily. Now we are running him every day and he fills it half full which just shows how much the dust has decreased. Our floors are spotless every evening when we come home from work. We just have to dust once a week and I would easily say there is between 50%-75% less dust in our home if not more. We switch him on and he just works his way around cleaning up as he goes. He is a joy to watch, and has so much personality for a little machine!!! We have also named him and I love to see him come flying over the door ledge. We have not experienced any navigational problems with him yet and every evening we come home he has safely made his way back to his docking station. He manoeuvres from one room to another without any problem, I was worried after reading some reviews that he may get stuck on the lip of our doors but that has not happened and we have not had to manually pick him up to move him at all. I have not tried to set the timer yet, we just switch him on as we need him and I find the remote really handy to change modes. You can focus him on one room, or to just clean the edges of the room which is great for getting along the kitchen cupboards or under our radiators and alongside the bed. There is also a spot clean which was great to collect a pile of dust. As other reviews have said there really is no pattern to how he cleans, he just does his own thing but somehow manages to clean everywhere. I have been leaving little things for him to hoover up as random tests and they are always gone when I come back to them! You do have to be very careful with what you leave on the ground as he will hoover up whatever he can. One problem we have had is that I have long hair which has become tangled in his brushes. This is easily rectified by snipping my hair from the brush and is now something I watch out for. We have hardwood and tile floors throughout our home, with a thin enough rug in our living room. He has no problem getting on to the rug but every now and again the interior designer in him comes out and sometimes he thinks it looks better in another part of the room, which he will have moved it too! I actually find this highly entertaining and his flair for interior design just adds to his personality for me! I would highly recommend this product, I wish I had of bought it sooner. Save yourself the research, this is the one to buy and it is such good value! We do not need to hoover anymore as we run him everyday and have only had the sweeping brush out once or twice since we got him. Our friends and family are so curious about him, we are constantly having visitors dropping in or requesting videos of our new arrival! Do yourself a favour and invest in him, he is worth every penny! And as for the other half, he is now more enamoured with our new friend than I am!
