Holds a 34" monitor just fine
The spec says up to 32" and 22lbs. The Acer Predator X34P is 34" but only about 15 lbs once you remove it from the stand. Holds it just fine! Will update if that changes, but it seems quite stable. At maximum height, there's about 6.5" from the desk surface to the bottom of the monitor (but that depends on the position of the VESA mount on the monitor). The two-segment center arm operates from 0 to 180 degrees, but does not "hyperextend". You can still get an adequate range of motion, but you will not be able to move the monitor to the left without also bringing it towards you, unless you are fully extending the arm. Photos will show what I mean.I wasn't sure how I felt about the pole-style monitor arm, thinking that the clamp on the pole would need to be very tight and that it would be constantly slipping down. Turns out, that's not really the case. As I was adjusting the height (with the bolt loose), I realized that because the weight of the monitor is not centered on the pole, it has a bit of a cantilever effect and was able to hold it in place pretty well even without being tightened at all. You had to actually support the weight of the monitor a bit just to get it to slide up and down smoothly. Makes perfect sense now that I think about it, and I'm no longer worried about that joint. The tilt joint still worries me a little, as it's held by just friction. It appears to be all metal, though, so it if gets droopy, I should be able to just re-tighten it as many times as needed.EDIT: For some reason, this item does not allow me to upload photos with my review. You'll just have to take my word for it that swinging the arm to the right works fine and swinging it to the left won't work without bringing the monitor towards you to make room for the elbow.

Easy setup, sturdy for my application
First, I have to say this desk mount stand is rated to hold about 22 pounds, and I'm using it to hold a 19-inch TV that only weighs 4 pounds, so in my case this thing is really solid and strong. The assembly is simplified, with the various bolts, etc., in separate sections of a clear plastic bag. The manual shows what each part looks like and how many of each are provided. The only thing I can say against the stand so far: The illustrations in the manual are a bit small, which made it difficult to tell where one of the cable guides goes because the arrows look like part of the diagram, but don't let this discourage you. If you want, you can leave the cable guides off altogether and use zip ties. This is not a vital part of the assembly. All I can add is the thickness of the metal parts of the stand let me know as soon as I unboxed it that this was exactly what I wanted for this set-up. Maybe its capacity is a bit of overkill for my situation (only mounting a 4-pound TV), but it's definitely worth the money.

Very Sturdy!
We used this for our camper tv stand so we had mobility and security for our flat screen. The stand is much larger than we anticipated and meant for much larger desk tops than we had available in the camper so we had to do some adaptations. Very pleased with the quality, especially for such a low price!

Sturdy and works well.
So far this has been a very sturdy mount for my 28" monitor, was easy to install and just feels solid. I like that you can position the monitor where you need or want it and it freed up desk space not having the base stand and gets it up so I am looking directly at it without bending my neck down to see it.Would recommend

Solid and smooth
The things I was looking for in a monitor stand were that it need to be solid and well-made, easily repositioned with a wide range of motion, and that it take up a very small amount of desk space. This Vivo stand does a great job on every requirement. The large C-clamp that holds it in place (or the option grommet clamp for desks that support it) takes up very little space. The stand itself is somewhat large, but is completely hidden behind the monitor. If I am not using the computer, I can fold it back flat so that the monitor gives me full access to my desk. Adjustability is excellent, with height adjustments made using a provided allen wrench (with a handy holder on the stand itself). Repositioning the monitor is extremely smooth and quiet. After just over a month of use, I am really happy with the purchase and wished I had done it much sooner.

Its a no for me.
Bought this for my 34" Ultrawide monitor. It was within the specs of weight etc. It seemed very sturdy. And it could hold the monitor up. What it couldn't do no matter how much it was tightened is hold it upright. The monitor would droop forward. As in the screen of the monitor drooping down towards the desk top, if your were at your desk and you nodded off and your head went forward. I'm guessing regardless of the weight it said it could hold it just couldn't. So back on the stock stand it came with it went and that one holds it perfectly. Right back the same night the VIVO went back to Amazon. I can guarantee you its no fun trying to unscrew a Ultrawide screen monitor off the VESA mount while standing because the rest of it was bolted down.

Great product.
Great product. I have 3 of these that hold up a 28" asus monitor. Very sturdy and made of great materials. Arm is easy to move around and stays in place where you need it. Would recommend this brand to anyone. Includes all the tools and instructions needed to assemble. Took me about 20 mins to set up the first one.
