Yes, an independent third party has tested our cacao beans and finished chocolate for lead and cadmium, and has tested SAFE. Our chocolate is ~ 70% below the California MADL as referenced in the 2022 Consumer Reports Study.

Where is your cacao sourced?

We source our cacao beans from cooperatives in West Africa that employ organic, regenerative, and fair trade farming practices. We work directly with the farms to ensure the highest standards.

Is your chocolate allergen-free?

Our chocolate is naturally free of dairy, wheat, and soy, but is made in a facility that handles those allergens. The equipment is cleaned between production runs, but there may be trace amounts in our chocolate bars.

How should I store my chocolate?

Store your chocolate in a cool, dry place such as a kitchen pantry between 40-75F.

How do you ship chocolate in hot temperatures to ensure it doesn't melt?

During the summer months, we ship with ice and insulation to beat the heat. In the winter, Amazon ships our chocolate without insulation. If ever your chocolate arrives melted, please send us a photo and we'll replace your order.
