Everyone should have a Tens Unit on hand even if they don’t need it all the time . My right arm from my shoulder to my hand would go numb and hurt with a dull ache . My Doctor said it was from a bone spur in my neck . He tried injections in my neck , but said that if that didn’t help that it would probably require surgery to remove the bone spur. I wasn’t about that “ the injections helped for about a week “. Then I remembered that I knew someone that had a tens unit so I asked to borrow there’s . After only using the unit a couple of times , I could feel a remarkable difference in how my arm and shoulder felt . It worked so effectively that my pain completely disappeared to the point where I might every so rarely have to use the device . My only recommendation is to purchase some extra electrode pads .

This is my first TENS machine to help with my muscle pains from work. For people not sure what this machines does Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation is a non-invasive method of controlling pain by using tiny electrical impulses sent through the skin to nerves to modify pain perception which reduce or eliminate pain sensation for a short period of time. It does not fix the actual physiological problem. This Unit comes with everything you need to get started: a control unit, a battery, 2 lead wires, 8 electrode pads, instruction manual, and a electrode placement guide. Just follow through the instruction manual the unit is not hard to use even if you have never used one before. I used it for a few days with just 10-15 min each session. I noticed a relieve in intensity of pain after the sessions. It usually lasted for a few hours before the pain came back. I assumed by using a longer session the pain relief will last longer. Also during the second session I used lotion on my arm right before I used the TENS unit and forgot to clean skin and the electrodes gel lost adhesiveness. Next day the electrodes still stayed on but not as good as before. So before you place electrodes on your body make sure to clean it first as directed.

Product is sound, comes with a convenient case to keep wires and unit straight, even came with a 9v battery. Unit has covers that close over buttons and knobs on the unit to prevent unintentional setting changes. Stronger settings on the unit are extremely strong. Comes with good pads in the box and really leaves no room for complaint about the quality of the device. Shipping was Prime so it was very fast and free. Packaging was easy to open. Instructions were clear with helpful illustrations. Very pleased with the unit. Please note I do not address the value or effectiveness of this therapy in this review, but the machine is of excellent quality and function.
