Super probe. I have integrated it with home assistant (ZHA) and it just works a treat. Readings came up almost instantly and while I have no real way of confirming that they are accurate, I now have a number to work from.I'm planning to incorporate the data for automated irrigation and this will make it easy.The probe itself should be handled relatively carefully as instructed but once placed it should be quite durable.Handy that an aa battery is also included - so far it's not eating a huge amount of power so I expect it to last a while

Paired well with HomeAssitant over Zigbee2MQTTTho I'm pretty confident the Temp measurement is taken from the body and not the probe..Very responsive to changing values

So far so good, paired with no trouble to ZHA on Home Assistant, I recommend leaving them near a hub or your cordinator for a few hours once paired, and do the firmware update (supported over HA but they like to be near to a hub or repeater to do this reliably)They seem well made, and the waterproofing looks good enough to use them on the outdoor plant pots I've put them in. Good value for the price. I'll be ordering more for the coutyard garden behind my house.

Disappointing on the whole. The integration with the Thirdreality Smart Bridge to Google Home Hub in my experience either doesn't work or isn't reliable. I've spoken to Thirdreality, but as far as I am aware there isn't a resolution at this time.In addition, I'm unsure about how accurate the readings given by the probes are. I'm testing by using a manual probe (which I know to be accurate) alongside a Thirdreality wi-fi probe. The Thirdreality probe returns higher moisture levels, for example, showing between 50% to 60% when the manual probe gives an almost dry reading.

This product needs a hub to work and thankfully the hub is quite cheap. It will report soil moisture content to the app, but that is all it does. The hub connects to Google Home and Amazon Echo but there is nothing you can do with that for these sensors. No asking if the plants need watering or audible alerts when you need to water them. You see the soil moisture percentage and temperature in the app, and nothing else. Not very smart for a smart home product.

Better than other soil moisture sensors I have tried, but have a fatal flaw of misreporting the soil moisture levels.To get an accurate reading you have to jiggle it a bit.Otherwise it will report a gradual decline in moisture then after jiggling it, it jumps from a good 35% to an uncomfortable 11%.I coupled with the Third Reality Smart Watering system in the hope I could automate watering, it still requires a lot of manual intervention.The soil sensors do help, but not as much as they should.If I have to physically jiggle the soil sensor then I may as well just the plant while I am there.So hoping that I can find a reliable soil sensor to enable automated plant care.
