Excellent phone for the price. Huge upgrade from my previous phone. Is it up to par with all the latest and greatest? Probably not, but it's more than enough for what I need it for. Dual SIM slot came in really handy when I went overseas. Many pay as you go plans don't have international options so being able to have 2 different SIM's on the same phone was VERY helpful! Camera seems quite good, screen size is nice. Just a good quality phone at a reasonable price.

Waited awhile to see how good/bad this phone was, bought 2, one for my wife and one for me, phone is awesome, glad to be in the Samsung echo system, phone is not slow, get rid of the bloatware and a few other tweaks and I haven't had any issue, the amount of customization on this phone is insane, almost no reason to root it, never understood way something you buy doesn't allow you to do what you want with it like getting super user access, but it's not really needed for this phone,I highly recommend this sub 200.00 dollar phone, we had zero problem transferring over to the new phone using Mint mobile, it was as easy as switching the sim card, added a 256 gig sd card and have half a terabyte of storage total and you can put up to a 1.5 TB card but I recommend nothing higher than 1 TB as the 1.5 TB is buggy. Stop thinking and buy it, the only criticism I have is when using the flash at night it washes out the picture but even that you can fix in the settings as I just learned, plus there are untold videos on how to set it up and what to get rid of, videos on just about every setting on the phone of which they seem endless.

love the phone for the most part for the exceptions of the fact that ,it is hard to shut down, and it does not do word correction when ur typing & it does not show ur gmail account info when ur trying to put ur gmail account in somewhere u need to put ur gmail account info not like my other phone for my other phone was a SAMSUNG Galaxy A 13 it was a bit easier to use! just saying i always have to be honest

After using it for several months, it's an ok phone, the biggest disappointment is in regards to the memory expansion, I have tried 3 different denomination Samsung micro SD cards and they only read for about two to three days. Place them on my laptop and they are perfect, but for some reason the phone stops detecting them after a few days of being mounted on the dual Sim tray. I bought a brand new international version, and this issue keeps on happening. Definitely do not recommend it, put a little more money and buy a flagship phone.

Upgraded from my Samsung A71 (which I love love love, but security updates stopped in April 2025) and I have - it seems PMW screen sensitivity? This phone has an LCD screen (its in the fine print by this seller) and the headaches are much less than an S24+ which I also tried.This phone is Very beautiful to read, clear, easy to read at night with eye comfort view on to maximum red, and using the Smart Switch, (I should have used the cable connection, not the WIFI,) was able to get this working. I switched out the Google Messages to go back to the Samsung Messages (yay! No stupid opaque chat bubble replies that literally is not readable at night in the Google message app), removed animation on the LOCK screen transition to decrease eye stress - I seem to have a sensitivity to PWM, animations and flickering lights in the S24+, but NOT to this A16 - because the A16 is an LCD (type?) screen - Yay!!!!),and the amazing thing is - it was only $200 for the 250gb internal storage and the 8gb ram (Mine is running at 4.2gb ram out of 8gb- you can add the "optimize" widget to always see how much ram is running on the home page). Since the processor - I heard may not be the very best - after all - this is a Samsung budget phone - I figured I needed all the 8gb Ram and storage to compensate for the budget processor. The US version goes max to 4gb ram, but I got this international phone which has 8GB ram - and I just changed the language from Spanish to English - language option is on the screen the moment you power it on, I am so very very happy with this purchase!I was able to customize a lot of the stuff with typical Samsung customization even for a budget phone. I am very very happy. Yes, it is repetitious, but I am very very happy with this A16.For all those PMW screen sufferers - this works for me, it may work for you. If you had headaches and nausea on the super duper S24+ model due to its advanced Amoledx2 OLED screen, this A16 LCD screen (although the info is conflicting - the top part of this ad says "Amoled", but the fine print says "LCD", but who cares - I can use this phone - without getting nausea or wanting to throw up due to the screen like in the advanced models! I am so happy!All this for $200 , I had to buy the warranty just for my peace of mind, and bought a silicon case because I heard this phone is a bit - on the - not as robust as the other Samsung lineup? Screen quality is excellent!Also, When I did the Samsung smart switch transfer, I transferred all, then replaced my T-Mobile sim card from my old phone, and placed it in this new A16,and it works PERFECTLY! No problem! It connected to Tmobile without a hitch!Can't believe how relieved I am to have found this phone for so cheap a price, with the 8gb ram, and the 256 gb storage - which is also expandable!!! And I just moved my old 250 gb expandable storage card into this new one, and whoa! instant even more expandable space, if I ever need it in the next 5 years before Samsung stops supporting this phone in 10/2030! So happy after weeks of researching which phone would work with my sensitivity for PMW screen type phones like it seems all the NEW super duper Flagship phone models- which is superb but that super duper model did give me headaches. Summary: Very Happy with A16 and that the screen does not give me headaches!!

Was easy to switch my service to this device. At first i wasn't sure if it was 100 percent unlocked. I use metro pcs, works great no issues there. I will say the device came with a notice saying that it is not compatible with Spectrum Mobile, US Cellular, Xfinity Mobile and Cricket Wireless. For those out there searching for capability. Phone battery holds a good charge.
