This Nakiri knife's 7 inch blade is very sharp, and the total weight is over 12 ounces. In comparison my 8 inch chef's knife is 7 ounces. The combination of sharpness and weight make slicing and chopping veggies almost effortless. The included leather case provides a good home when knife is not in use.

Great knife. Arrived very sharp and stays sharp. It is a little heavy, so it cuts right through with little effort. A plus is it comes with a thick leather sheath so you can take it with you safely for use in someone else's kitchen.

I love Japanese knives bc they retain their sharpness and quality. This knife was a little bigger and a lot heavier than I thought but it's super sharp and so well made. I've seen other knives like this for triple the price. It comes with a tough leather case for storage. I gave it 4 stars bc of the size and weight. I have small hands and after using for prepping a meal, my hands were sore. Also, I had a hard time finding a storage space bc of the knife's size. I still highly recommend.

The only knife I carry in my camper. Good metal and handle for the price and looks great. It comes very sharp and sharpens backup when it finally does dull.
