Why did you pick this product vs others?: After some research, I decided to try this product for a hole in my chair which was getting larger. The package does not come with application instructions but with a little utube time it was apparent how to use it. I filled the hole and let it dry. It does go on thick, so very thin coat is all that was needed. It dried in a short time and I was ready to finish this project off with the leather color from the same company. It is white in color and will need a color for any colored leather. It does come with some applicators, so it is ready to use as it comes out of the box.

It’s great for the small jobs. I bought a used couch with cat scratches & it sanded nicely on the lighter surface scratched areas where the filler & paint made it look brand new. I thought a larger grit paper might be needed for the deeper scratches, but that just scratched the good leather as well. I then tried layering and lightly sanding between coats, but there just wasn’t enough product. The end result was quite bumpy.

The armrests on my sectional had tears, holes, and cat claw punctures that made the whole thing look ready for the junkyard. I worked some filler into the hole and tear and it pulled the edges together. It dried fast. I kept sanding and smoothing more filler over the damaged area with a putty knife. Time and patience are needed! Finally when the areas were smooth I used Angelus Leather Paint which covered the white of the filler perfectly. Angelus has many colors and Dark Taupe was an excellent match for my leather. Wish I had taken a before photo to show going from disaster to looking brand new.

This looked like it was going to be good when I first used it, but after a few days of sitting on the couch, most lf it rubbed off. Would not recommend.

So I have tried leather repair pastes before, and the last one I tried was useless goop that didn't fill anything. So I was unsure if this was going to be any better. Thankfully I found this stuff to be a little more useful. It does fill patches though you may need to do a few layers to get it right. However this stuff is pretty fast drying once applied, so it's not too hard to do that. Although if the leather you're working on isn't white, you may need some paint or something to color match

This leather filler works GREAT for repairing scratches and cuts in leather furniture. I have been repairing some very deep cat scratches on a thick leather chair and it is about the best I have found so far. You do need to sand the surface well and apply. It dries fairly quickly so you need to work fast to put a new texture on it.

Very good to fill scratches and cracks action in sanding after you let it cure the apply dye and viola like new
