Alm Clip On Blades, (BQ026) Red , Pack of 20

Honestly, I don't write reviews much but these blades are excellent.(I first bought 50 on a well known auction site that lasted about 30 seconds each, or less if you strimmed close to a wall. Still going thru 'resolution' on that purchase...)I then bought these ALM ones you're looking at. I have just flown round the garden using just TWO blades. Through brambles, docks, around tree trunks, they've taken out sapling trees a foot high, they JUST WON'T BREAK. First one I caught on a wire fence and it broke - fair enough. Second one is maybe half-length with no signs of snapping. I've used TWO rechargeable batteries from full to empty and am still left with half a usuable blade from the two I went out with. More batteries used than blades is a new thing on me.They have changed my life.Cindy Crawford has started taking my calls (well, she's dropped the court case anyway...), some Nobel people have been in touch about a prize or something, I won five quid on the lottery and I think I'm actually looking slimmer using these blades.They wear so well I'm genuinely impressed. They even wear better than my pants, and that's saying something.Buy some. Even if you don't have a strimmer. You can make whirring noises as you run round the garden swinging a blade around a pencil. Try it, it's great fun.A-Star. 10/10.

My strimmer was getting through these blades at a crazy rate and then I found out why.After using the strimmer for some time the plastic wheel to which these blades gets very hot. After use, if you stand the strimmer up against a wall the hot wheel rests on the ground and the weight of the machine deforms the wheel potentially putting the blade on a collision path with the shield.Solution. After use lay the strimmer down on its shield.Fix for deformed wheel - use heat gun to gently warm wheel and slightly lift it away from where it strikes the shield.

Good quality, strong blades, however, they do not easily fit my Bosch ART 26 Li strimmer.The original Bosch blades can be clicked into place using a finger and thumb, unfortunately, I need to use pliers to fit this properly. Must remember to carry pliers when strimming in future!

I have puchased these blades on four occasions. The quality of the blades purchased this time (May 2024) was inferior to the previous blades I had received. Although they look identical, these blades are made from a softer plastic which tears easily, allowing the blades to be ripped from the strimmer head during use. Notably, the blades did not arrive in the usual ALM branded packaging - make of that what you will. I will not be buying from this seller again.
