Good for Old Fashioneds, but bought for £27
Bought for £27. Perfect for making old fashioned cocktails. Havent used it for anything else however. Wouldn't pay more than that for it however, and I notice the price has gone up since

Two fingers of red eye
Good to be able to try a whisky which is almost completely made from rye, rather than those marketed as rye but which contain nearly half corn base. Is without the distinctive sweet flavour of a corn-based bourbon, and subtly different to a barley-based scotch. Interesting to compare, and a pleasant drink in its own right.

A great rye whiskey at any price
A great rye whiskey at any price. Slightly different from a bourbon and very different IMO from the Bulleit bourbon. A world away from the likes of the the basic Jim Beam and Jack Daniels no.7 in both flavour and quality for not much extra. If you like bourbon then this is definitely worth a try.
