Now that I know this exists I will never not get gel polish. Makes it so much easier to remove.

Haven't tried with gel yet. Last time I tried this type of stuff it didn't work at all, gel or dip. And it drives up after two uses. When I do dip powder I do one layer transparent, 2-3 layers color. I put this stuff on for five minutes, scrape, then five minutes and scrape again. If I was lazy and didn't file the top coat off, it still works, but I need another five minutes. Much easier than soaking my nails for 45 minutes in acetone, and it's a little satisfying to scrape it off. I know it's working when little bubbles form. Do NOT get it on your skin. It doesn't hurt, but the skin around my nails gets disgusting and flakes off over the next few days. So now I'm just more careful where I put it. Been on the same bottle for five manicures so far and it's thicker but still works perfectly. Will be rebuying. Eventually. The five pack should last me a while.

While the product works in polish removal, please note that there is possibility for some of reaction to nail beds causing nail tips to pull back. It did not happen until after a few months of repeated use. It is supposed to repair as nails grow out. Nails are strong but don’t look nice.

I have been doing my own gel-polish at home for some time now and really enjoy the painting process. The removal process- I don't enjoy doing that as much. I do enjoy being able to do my nails when I want with my favorite predictable colors and I have gotten quite good at it. Saving $$ is also a bonus, of course. So, I bought this product hoping to eliminate much of the drill time during the removal process. While I still chose to use my drill to break the top-coat seal, I didn't have to use it very much. However, this product did not work with just one try for me- I had to do three 3-minute applications to get all the polish off (hence the 4-star review rather than 5-star). Nevertheless, it worked well, and I was left with a clean, undamaged nail bed and no skin irritation around the nail as I followed directions and was careful not to get the product on my skin. I think it's important to add that this method is WAY better than the traditional drill completely off or soak completely off (involving putting my fingers into a warm bowl of pure acetone or soaking a cotton ball and wrapping them in foil- just WAY, WAY better than either of those. I love this stuff. I haven't had to use acitone, or nail polish remover since using this product.

BURNS YOUR NAILS!! I know this is technically a “paint thinner”. But I’ve never had an issue previously with gel polish removers. This one I used specifically as directed. Shook it up really good. Easily filed the top color to allow penetration; IT BURNED WITHIN SECONDS. Like hurt burned. That can’t be good. I had to go rinse my toenails off in the shower and scrub with soap and water to get the burning to stop. And the worst part- IT DIDN’T EVEN REMOVE THE GEL POLISH. 👎

Very effective product. Works well on nails with out damaging.
