It works but there is a catch
Firstly it took a few goes to mould it following the instructions (dip in boiling water then a quick dip in cold then bite down). I found the dip in cold water was too long and it wasn't getting a good impression of my teeth. So did a much shorter dip in cold water, bite was better but didn't realise it was so flexible and a few parts of the shield folded over on itself. It was fixable but not ideal. Now wearing it, yes it's uncomfortable. But after a few nights you do get use to it and the gagging sensation does stop. It does still irritate when wearing and does cause some soreness in the morning when removing.Apparently it does work according to my wife. Now a gentle purr rather than a loud snore. So definitely a positive thereAbout 50% of the time it falls out in the night, which then I have to hunt about for it in the morningSo I have been wearing this every night for over 2 weeks.and the first sign of wear is showing. The rubber is starting to disintegrate and peel away. To be honest this should really last more before this happens (like years!)This shows the theory works but I'll go to the dentist for a properly fitted one I thinkUpdate: less than 2 months in and it has fallen apart!

Made a massive difference
Made a massive difference for me and my snoring. My partner was at her wits end with my snoring but this has made the difference. Only downside is that my teeth do ache a bit in the morning, but this might be a downside until I get used to them. Fit is a little big for my mouth but not too much. Easy to shape to your mouth and excellent quality. I’d highly recommend giving it a go. I’ve tried all sorts of anti snoring aids and this seems to be the one that works.

It works
Bought this as a last resort before I succumbed to a cpap machine for my apnea.Moulding was easy, wearing them for the first time was comfortable, but, was very aware of the mouth piece, when I finally fell asleep, I woke hours later, usually I'm awakened by the apnea, checked my snore app, and, nothing, complete silence, absolutely stunned that this device works. After a week of using ,I no longer am aware of it in my mouth, the only down side is the wierd sensation on lower teeth as the device pushes on the teeth to stop jaw falling back, which leaves the airway open, which stops snoring etc. But, a wierd sensation is better than constantly been awakened by apnea, now i feel a return of energy simply because I sleep without disturbance.Update, 3 weeks later and the bottom mould came off, I bought one before this ,similar, the bottom mould on that came off as well, this device does work ,but disappointed that both feel apart.

It works, but too painful to keep in all night
TL;DR -It dealt with my problem of misaligned teeth which force my jaw backwards when I close my mouth, causing my airway to be obstructed. It immediately cured a problem that was making me concerned that I was fighting to breathe at night. I was virtually snore-free the first night of wearing it, but the longer I've used it, it became too painful to keep in all night.Short Story Long -I'd been suffering with disturbed sleep for a few months, (I assume this has been ongoing for years without my being too aware of it). I'd record my sleeps sounds and was basically loudly snoring all night (bar a couple of quiet 20 minute periods). I'd sometimes wake up in the middle of the night with a racing heart-beat which I assume was from fighting so hard to take a breath, and being unable to take a breath at all. I was waking up exhausted, I could feel the effects of a night of snoring on my airway, like it was just beaten up from fighting for air all night. This seemed like it might be the answer for my problem, I am aware that my teeth are aligned such that my incisors meet at their tips when I close my mouth naturally, but to make my molars meet, I need to really retract my jaw quite unnaturally. I think this is what causes my snoring problem, obstructing my airway as my jaw retracts during the night. The mouthpiece was easy to prepare, though I did have two goes at moulding it because I felt that I didn't bite hard enough the first time, and it wasn't fitting snugly enough. I don't think that really helped, (repeated mouldings will just mean a less tight fit around one's teeth). I tried wearing it for a while and felt like it was just going to fall out, it wasn't gripping my teeth as I expected and I wasn't hopeful it would do any good. The first time wearing it in bed was a bit disconcerting, it holds one's lips apart, and I felt that saliva might build up and I'd be drooling or struggling to swallow. It turns out that one's mouth actually dries a little, so this was not a problem. My concern at the fit, and that it might fall out, were unfounded; laying down negates gravity allowing one's jaw to drop and I never felt the mouthpiece would slip out. I'd adjusted the sliding lower piece forward 1mm to try to really force my jaw forward to keep my airway open, and that really did the trick. This did put pressure on my upper and lower incisors as they have to fight the back-pressure as my lower jaw wants to retract, and this has led to too much pain in my front teeth, such that I had to take it out halfway through the night as I wore it in on about the third or fourth night.Although some reviews say that it's too big and uncomfortable, I'd actually prefer if it were larger, and allowed for a deeper moulding such that it would more closely grip the molars (and incisors), preventing the pain in the front teeth from bearing all the pressure fighting against the lower jaw retracting.I'd recorded my sleep sounds the first night and was amazed that it virtually cured the snoring; my sleep app records any instance of snoring in a 30 second clip, and the previous night I had over 800 (yes, eight hundred!) clips full of LOUD snoring; the first night with the mouthpiece I had two or three clips of quiet single snores. I could really feel the effect of a night of unobstructed breathing on my nasal passages, they felt clear and non-inflamed for the first time in so long. The device works really well in principle, but for me, I don't think the design can produce a deep enough moulding to grip all the teeth and prevent the pressure build up in my front teeth. I'll be looking for another product that does this (or a professional dental mouthpiece), because I know my snoring CAN be cured by a product LIKE this, but this one was not right for me.

Product difficult to sleep with.
Whilst I understand the concept of this product, that bringing the lower jaw forward it reduces the likelihood of snoring. I can’t get behind the fact that it disallows the user to close their mouth, thereby making it more likely for mouth breathing than nasal breathing; which we all know is better for quality sleep. This product feels huge in the mouth. Like wearing a rugby mouth guard. Surely there must be a smaller, more streamline product out there!
