This just pushes onto the lens hole of my Seestar S50, and protects the lens from dew build up through the night. Because of it's depth it works well and doesn't hinder any image the Seestar can capture.

Purpose Of A Dew Shield: A dew shield keeps out stray light that usually comes from streetlamps or houses. In addition, the shield prevents water vapor from getting onto the lens. The Seestar does have a heater for the lens but this is not a dew protector. If you are in an environment where the scope will form moisture, simply wipe off the scope when you are finished imaging but don't touch the lens. The dew shield and the built-in heater will protect the lens. Steve Perfect Fit: Dew shield snaps on tightly and is easy to take off. Extremely Well Made: Made of hard plastic that will not crack. Works fine with S50

I received a scratched, not round and clearly second hand used item. 20 bucks for this is not what I call cheap. Please beware. I bought this for my S50 and this thing wont touch it. Returning it.
