Absorbs smoke and odors well. A bit noisy. But an excellent value.

Fantastic! I place on the glass top stove right next to my frying pan. When I cook steak it smokes a lot. This fan sucks basically all of the smoke into it, and the charcoal pad absorbs basically all of the smell and smoke, and I have it set up to re direct the exhaust into the overhead exhaust. Great product worth every penny

Very pleased, worked exactly as I'd hoped. I really like the metal body, as it allowed me to position the fan fairly close to the range without fear of damage to the fan. I spent two hours cooking on the stove top, and no smoke detectors went off!! I did have the sliding door and range hood on as well as this fan, so I'm not sure if this fan would have been sufficient by itself. Regardless, I can *finally* cook without testing the smoke detectors.

My understanding was that this would help with minimizing the smoke in my house when cooking. I don't have an exhaust, so I have to open windows when cooking. The reality is that it just circulates the air and catches SOME particles in the process. The end result was that my house was filled with smoke - I might as well cook without it.

I recently ordered this product to help with moving steam and smoke from the oven area. I have been using it for the past month and have been very impressed with several things. First the quality of the fan is impressive...very well built. Secondly, the power of the fan is incredible as it really does catch most if not all of the steam and smoke rising from the pan. We changed ovens recently and because we don't have venting over our island counter, we needed something that we could use instead. This product fits that requirement. There were many to choose from but fortunately, we think we selected the right one.

The venting in my kitchen might as well be nonexistent and the smallest amount of smoke from something sets off all the detectors, thanks to this I can finally make steak again. Definitely worth it while I save to renovate the kitchen. It is loud but that’s a price I am willing to pay. Easy to use.
